Um...What? Who? Misconduct?

Is this person awaiting Departmental charges?
  • OT but interesting...How about an on-duty female officer barging into a detective interview of her nephew in regard to a double homicide shooting. Had to be told to leave. Wouldnt and caused a scene. Tried to drag nephew out. Sgt. had to threaten arrest.
Threaten? We remember having Street Deputies. Was one summoned to strip her on the spot?

Special Ed, have you lost control of the Department? This weekend sort of proves that you've lost the streets - how about the confidence of your boss?

It has happened multiple times in the past. "At the end of the day" each was written-off as the love of a mother knows no bounds. One even received a money settlement. Now if a father did the same thing, the father would be cooling his heels over at call-back until they fired him, but not a momma. Same uniform, same pay, different rules.

She was an F/1 so they will sweep it under the rug.. just like the M/1 who I just heard about who works at the academy who last week refused to stop for the police in 007 then led them onto the expressway where he continued then eventually stopped. He refused to show his police ID. Refused to show a DL and insurance and bordered on a threat to the officer as the stop ended. A CR number was generated but the high up bosses are already saying that it should just go away and more than likely just a misunderstanding.. after all, he is connected I hear from the rumor folks. This is the kind of guy we want in the academy having contact with and potentially training our recruits?? I hear, but not sure that the entire thing is caught on body camera. If we are seeking transparency then this one needs to stay alive and not be swept under the rug if it’s a true incident.

Don't just threaten, lock her up immediately, she endangered the lives of the detectives, interfered with the investigation, obstructed justice and assault for starters. The deputy can interview her in the lockup later. Hire scum this is what happens.

suggestion: have a body camera available to the detective division supervisor in charge of the watch. As soon as a Police Officer gets out of line turn the camera on a RECORD THE INCIDENT INCLUDING GIVING THE PO A DIRECT ORDER TO LEAAVE. Keep the camera rolling the whole time. In fact, I would have two just in case one does not work. If this account is true then the supervisor SHOULD HAVE ARRESTED HER. The problem here is in todays climate if the supervisor and detectives were white then she wins. By having a body camera recording the incident you cut down her chances on receiving a big payday. Chief Maples ARE YOU LISTENING. IT USED TO BE CALLED THINKING OUTSIDE OF THE BOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Look back to when a cpd officer and mother of a juvenile who was being interviewed about an off duty officer shot by his own kid!
When the mother asked the detectives if her son was under arrest? They said no, she told her child to stand up and let’s walk. That was until the detective blocked here and the kid from walking out!

IAD stripped the mother/ officer, Who was working in IAD and let her sit until the city ended up paying her off to drop the law suit, the city then promoted her to detective! What a lost cause?

If you really think this Detective Division can solve a crime, let them.
But when the Detective need to use Department influence they lost case already?

The parent barging into a detectives investigation is wrong and should be stripped pending this investigation? And IAD CR?

But we all know this depends on who this officer is and who they are related to and rank?

So if your family member is a witness to a robbery, shooting or homicide you tell them to turn the other way? Not cooperate? Lie and say they didn’t see anything? Wow, you sound like real ghetto trash and even worse parents. Remember, everything you tell your kids instills something in them. You are instilling in them NOT to do the right thing. NOT to stand up to evil and NOT to stand up for others that may need help. No, it’s not far fetched, it’s call good parenting and setting your kids up for life to be a good person, productive member of society and teaching them respect and to do the right thing for the right people. Just because you are bitter and don’t like your job and life don’t teach your kids to be just as big of mopes in this world. I’ll say this for the last time; the “job” as we knew it, is over, and it’s not coming back. If coppers are sitting around acting like security guards they’re doing it right. Nobody, and I mean nobody will have your back if you step in it trying to be the police, so answer your calls, cut paper as needed, and back each other up, nothing more, it’s what is necessary to make it to the finish line and see your pension. If you want to run around playing police remember that you were warned.

If you are young on the job do your best to lateral somewhere else and escape this politically infested embarrassment of a department, if you stay too long you’ll get stuck here the duration, and forever miserable.

My family all knows to lawyer up and never give any statements. It's basic law school 101. I don't care about this job. I'm only collecting paychecks till retirement. The rest of you can give a fuck about victims and this city, but I don't. Stay fetal was my thing before the rest of you co-opted it.

The newly promoted D/C whose son got pinched with a gun was named Mathews. He was promoted and demoted on the same day, Something tells me he was a M/1 from the Northside and he was the Commander of 005 for a day or maybe half a day.

There was another F/1 merit detective in Area 2 named Banahan. She attempted to interfere with detectives interviewing her nephew. She was then made merit sergeant and lieutenant and then ended up in the federal pen after she and her hubby bought the old Regal theater and ripped off the feds on some grant money. She was miked up by the feds in an attempt to get a deal but everyone that knew her had enough sense to stay away from her so the wire was a flop and to the big house she went.

I really hope you don’t have kids... the world has enough A-holes in it...

Don’t forget to included ignorant idiots like yourself in the world. Should COPA or the feds ever come a knocking I bet that first call is to the FOP and that asshole puckers up when called downtown you will be a good little boy or girl and not say shit but will more likely throw the bus over yourself and partner. Oh wait you’ve never been the police because you would of known this by now. Go get some blue cards and your shine box. This has nothing to do with parenting you have rights, my family have rights, I have rights. I don’t need my family threatened over some strangers bullshit but I guess talking to police no matter what is ok and everything will be fine. If you were the police you would know this too dumbass.

Afghanistan is nothing like Chicago. Those Pathans would chew up the Community and spit them out before morning prayer was over. Join up and serve before you make ill-advised comments. People like you have no idea

If your offspring is being interviewed by the police it is obvious that you are a failure as a parent. You failed to instill proper values in the kid.

My kids know how they are supposed to act. They know that whatever trouble they get into, its is their's to get out of. Don't embarrass me more by calling for direct special help.

You know..given the hiring tendency at CPD, I am somehow not surprised. Today I saw two officers on NW, sitting and playing games or texting on their phones. Apparently very bored. Seriously, they looked like Halloween in those uniforms. New people are completely unfitting for this job. Sometimes I have an impression CPD is becoming one big security company.

This department has been a joke since about 2006. The recession brought on the current collection of slobs, slugs, shitheads and other clowns who now wear badges and guns. 13 years of recruits who never wanted to be the police, but just wanted a job. The only exception is a handful of vets and the county guys hired. This place is a joke and there is absolutely nothing to be proud of. I’m just here for the paycheck and my pension.

100% correct......get that pension !

Lol really? A majority of the old timers (20+ years) I ride with are glued to their phones, when they're awake that is. It's not anything that's exclusive to the younger generation. If you're still expecting people to approach this job with the same enthusiasm as 20 years ago then you're either insane or you've been retired for 10+ years and really don't understand the climate we're in at this time. Paycheck, benefits, and pension. If you're in it for anything more at this point, you're a fucking tool.

Women are above the Law, They don't have time for that nonsense. It's all about feelings.

Uh oh, sounds like someone’s mommy was mean to them growing up. If you really feel this way, EAP is available.

So I recently witnessed a police van run a red light at Laramie and division a day ago ,so I will fully cooperate and not lie in what I saw. I will testify and give my deposition because if I don’t evil will win. I will do the right thing.

Honest question from a non-cop: A lot of these posts talk about this PO being connected. Who the fuck are these people connected to? Do they have the ability to fire you or otherwise fuck up your career? Obviously they must. What level are we talking about? Alderman? Other higher ranking cop?

I agree with something I have seen written on this blog a lot....Where the fuck is the investigative reporting on this shit. Some reporter doing a series piece could have a field day. Guess they are all to scared of the same people you guys are scared of...or just fucking lazy.

I do that when I'm working with somebody I don't want to talk to. Just saying.
