Officer Injured
- Only months after being released on parole, a man was denied bail Saturday after being charged with attacking a police officer following Fourth of July fireworks at Navy Pier.
Michael Tigue, 21, of Flossmoor, faces a count of aggravated battery of a peace officer in the incident, which occurred shortly after the fireworks show ended, Chicago police said.
About 9:50 p.m., an officer noticed a group of people kicking a glass door at Harry Caray’s Tavern at Navy Pier and approached the group, Assistant State’s Attorney Margaret Johnson said at Tigue’s hearing Saturday.
As the officer came toward them, Tigue got into a “fighting stance” and tried to gouge the officer’s eye during a struggle to take him into custody, Johnson said.
Losing an eyeball pretty much counts as Great Bodily Harm. And the restraint in the face of Great Bodily Harm ought to be noted - the officer or responding officers could have justifiably shot this offender, but didn't.

These monsters are emboldened by that police hating runt of a mayor. Baby Groot is cute, Light Groot, not so much. You know it's true!
I would have emptied the gun into this psychotic bastard
I wouldn't want to be the test case for shooting someone who tried to gouge my eye out. Not in this County anyway. There isn't a chance in hell Kim Fox would stand behind you. She'd rather have a bunch of one-eyed cops than permit us to shoot someone for trying to blind you. Fuck her.
Corrupt Kim Foxxx hates the police and will have that offender back on the street asap!
Reach for my face, all bets are off, I 'd would have to "subdue" the trucker, with good chance pain included on principle and just being irritated about it. Can't really make a case for gun usage as a PO, although Kneecapping the fool would be best, but I would not want to guarantee then a disability check for the rest of their useless lives much less the inevitable excessive UoF complaint/charges.
Give him an “eye” bond!
Too bad......they didn't shoot him.
He was on parole for a murder he committed as a juvenile.
Don’t worry because on monday or tuesday I am sure that he will be in front of a different judge who
ill more then likely give him and ibond AND reduce the charges to simply disorderly conduct...ijs
And did Judge Navarro issue an I-bond for this?
The parolee decider should be held accountable for all actions taken by the person they decided was safe to be put back in society. Time to change the laws and make everyone else accountable too.
And this POS worked at Nordstroms? Doing what? Folding sweaters? As a citizen, I have to say that I am terrified for all of you these days/last few years ever since your hands started getting tied. When I see you out on the streets, I always stop and thank you and tell you to be safe. If I could give all of you wads of cash I would. Just try to make it home everyday safe and sound..
The animals are emboldened by Lori. They know they can do anything and get away with it with cry’s of racism and justification of violence based on poverty. And let’s quit kidding ourselves, Lori is 100% behind Cabrini Kim and restorative justice. Things will never change until Lori and Kim are out.
It's not your daddy's Flossmoor anymore.
Now, kees me you fool!!!!
It sounds like that officer was harassing some poor youths- says L.L.
The most messed up part of that is the Officers called a 10-1 and the bosses in their infinite wisdom told dispatch to not broadcast it.
As the officer came toward them, Tigue got into a “fighting stance” and tried to gouge the officer’s eye during a struggle to take him into custody, Johnson said.
The officer's should have applied their verbal judo technics on these exuberant citizens, thus ending this episode...
Parole boards should be held civilly liable for acts of parolees.
No bail?. That won't last long.

You are 100% correct.
They fail to mention the shit head is a convicted murderer as a juvenile, got out at 21 years old
Heard on news radio this morning that the offender was juvenile convicted murderer..released on his 21st birthday back in March
Nice job Kimmie!
And he works at Nordstrom! So they hire convicted murderers!!!!!
No bond Friday but gearing up for another rubber stamp Monday morning release by the ever lenient Crook County.
He crazy an’off his meds, restorative justice handshake defense.
Why is the POS out of jail anyway? He murdered his brother in 2013...

Just don't use 16 rounds as that is considered too much, only use 15 rounds and you will be ok.
He was just released on a 1st degree murder sentence he committed as a juvenile.
and how did this animal make parole? Besides getting his life turned around, etc. Seriously, no member of the board saw this coming? Makes one wonder about the revolving door system. Think maybe some of these 'people' should be caged? At what point does the political class admit defeat and reopen mental hospitals? Or is having all that money available for venture capitalists to fund a Starbucks on every corner, or scooter programs more important that the safety of Society at large, and the police that have inevitably to deal with offenders that are anything but sane? Pay real wages and benefits to professionals to deal with these nutjobs and stop trying to feed them into the criminal justice system or the postage stamp approach to mental health that is the grant-based part time programs that do nothing to hold these animals in check. It's time to go back to basics. A man does just wake up one day and decide to gouge out an eyeball; he's been around the bend for some time, likely always.
Didn't The Police used to know how to actually FIGHT?
You know... Flat out physically, mentally and emotionally
DESTROY people stupid enough to go hands on and expect to
WIN against Policemen?
Oh wait... Police hands-on tactics were "cleaned-up"
because they were too mean, too vicious and too dirty.
"Public Servants" aren't allowed to use "hard,"
"unfair," "mean" and "dirty" techniques.
"WAH! The Cops are acting like it's 1960 again!"
Sometimes... As a Policeman...
You're just plumb all out of civility
and pleasantries and you MUST lay your
lawfully empowered "Goon Hand" on a
hard-head non-compliant/resister/assailant m/fer.
"For the next five minutes,
I am YOUR DADDY!"
>CRUNCH! WHAM! CLOBBER! THUD!
-Hard Head expells tomorrow's
food today into the seat of
his underwear- WHUMP! THUD!
SLAP! KICK! PUNCH! CRUSH!<
"Uuuh-WAAHH! WHY IS THAT COP
HITTING HIM SOOO HARD? OHHHH!
MAKE HIM STOP IT! HE'S SCARING US!"
>More food expelled<
If the person he murdered was his brother, he at least did society a partial favor back then. Despite that, it's a shame the little S.O.B. wasn't shot to death.
"Michael Tigue, 21..."
Young fellow! You will see lots of him for decades to come... Enjoy!

More likely their managers are scared that the source of 'leakage' might be discovered. With felons as employees, one might wonder about such things. An unexpected visit by a beat cop might cause some consternation.....
