They may not know much about testing, but man oh man do they know a good golf course when they book one. And steaks? Nothing but the best!, with a fine Dominican cigar.....
You got be kidding me. They are trying to make it sound like the CPD actually has a written plan of action. To bad all these merit promotees were CPS educated and never taught to read. That is why all the actions wind up being the KEYSTONE cops in action. Can't shoot and getting into a lot of car accidents.
The reading material is more than twice the amount as last time. They were too lazy to list which orders to read individually. They said ALL addendums attached to the listed orders, which is quite a bit and most have no bearing on what we do today (automatic ticket writers really?). They even listed to read the ENTIRE ILCS criminal codes instead of selecting which specific ones, and the entire traffic code plus cannabis control act stuff, and 200 pages of the consent decree. It’s like the testing company never researched the orders and chose almost all of them. It will take Two weeks to print everything and that leaves you two months to read. Hot six months last test with half the reading. My guess part one will be a 44% passing.

Sounds about right for this department.
Reading list, not so important as its pass/fail (with secret cutoff, which will be very low)- esp since the best answers to oral will be provided to those they want to be promoted
Lowest bidder that will give the special people the answers....
Remember these are only guide lines.
So it kinda shows when the exam was initially put together and how long it was stalled before released.

Ok, a error was detected albeit some time after the release of the study material, take note that PSI was informed of these changes by whom...none other than The CPD bureau of 21st Century Advancement.

There will be cheating. The best predictor of future behavior is past behavior. Just know going that you are competing with merit and cheaters. That is the reality.
PSI was the low bidder.
And it’s clearly true that no one even reviewed the reading list.
It’s actually 2-3 times bigger than the last one.
