Prayers for the officer and his family for a speedy and complete recovery. Also prayers for all his brothers and sisters whose job description consists of putting their lives on the line so the rest of us can go about our normal day to day lives.
And in spite of the usual crap and BS slung from BLM, antiFA, those who Occupy Bathrooms, the Corrupt and Biased leftist media as well as the rest of those professional protesters, picketteers and boycotters whose sole purpose in life it seems is to make life as miserable as possible for those who offend them by actually carrying their own weight in life. You ARE appreciated 100% of the time 100% of each and every day. It is our fault that we do not show our appreciation more often. But because we don't show it, do not assume for one second that we are not grateful and appreciative. God Bless and be Safe.
Respectfully,
RonS

Understand the wounded officer is talking and coherent which are wonderful signs for a head wound. Understand the bullet went in and out of the officer's skull. Please G-d, let this man who lays it on the line be okay and that this is not his time.
Be well brave warrior. Healing vibes sent.

I’ve been listening to the local media talk about how no Chicago Police Officer fired any shots in the incident. You can hear the utter disappointment in their voices. Like they smelled blood in the water. Their visions of destroying another police family were just dashed.

As for the comment of looking the wolf in the face and don’t blink. It really is looking at evil in the face.Wolves are like eagles and hawks and bobcats, etc.who only kill to eat. They don’t kill for pleasure or domination like the real cowards that criminals are.Calling criminals animals is an insult to all animals that only want to survive in nature and create a ecological balance.Violent criminals are amoral and don’t respect lives of human innocents.

Prayers go out for a speedy recovery to the injured officer and innocent bystander.
Rot in hell to the POS involved.

I know it happens so fast and everyone acted heroically, but I would hate to think that CPD officers took rounds, and did not return fire out of being made to second guess themselves by he mayor, administration, and overall political climate. I wasn’t there and dong know, but it turns my stomach to think that an officer may have gotten hurt out of second guessing themself.
I really hate what this city and county are becoming.

Fat head describing the officer’s injury as a “graze wound” is an insult to the bravery that this hero officer displayed during this horrific event. It is also an insult to all the brave men and women who put on a police uniform and selflessly perform their law enforcement duties every single day, knowing that any given day can be their last day. They are the true heroes and the fat piece of excrement that is the stupidintendent will never be considered a hero in my eyes.

To whomever was complaining that the offender was shot and killed by Des Plaines PD, don’t start assuming things. The CPD coppers we’re waiting for the offender as he got off the expressway. They were in their car and as soon as the offender saw them he fired, striking one officer in the head. At that point, anyone in the car with a partner shot in the head is going to worry about their partner first. Thus no return fire. You get help for your partner first and foremost. And Any other officers couldn’t shoot at him while he was driving away anyway. The Des Plaines copper was following the offender the entire time, so it makes sense that once the offender crashed his car and fled, the Des Plaines copper would be the first one out chasing him and the one to shoot the offender.

First.... prayers to the PO and family and the teen and his family

Honestly. You don't want to hear the radio transmission , and not arm chair QB'g either.
chase was called out good but it took approx 12 mins to determine a PO was shot and 20 mins to find out it was CPD. Never heard a 10-1 called.
Maybe if the bosses knew this they wouldn't be on the radio asking about how many cars are down on the job. Also....listen to the radio. It shouldn't take 5 times repeating what offenders wanted for.
Great job by the partner and suburb po getting him to the hospital. Great job by 1799 getting cars to the exits. Then it all hit the fan
Take a deep breathe boys and girls.... it's everywhere now.

Stay safe

Nice of L squared to dress up for the occasion.

Yeah, she looked a bit "less than professional" there.

Whut?

She usually dresses like Charlie Chaplin's
"The Little Tramp" character.

The only thing missing from Mx. Clown-Mayor's ensemble
was a squirt flower full of Hennessy to tantalize
short bus Ed with...

"Nunna arra Poleece dropped shots at ol' boy
but ol' boy shot a po-po tho'!"

Dunce...

Prayers for the injured Copper and his family.

Is COPA making a play to be relevant in this?

When you write things like that you make the whole department look like idiots. Are you sure you weren’t “Force Recon”, or “Airborne”, or maybe Ranger Batallion? You’re worse than the millennials playing Call of Duty. You weren’t deployed to another country. You’re a cop. Just be a cop, there’s enough pride in that. Ya fuckin handjob.

Lightfoot couldn't dress up appropriately no better than a pig getting waiting in line at a formal dinner at the trough.

Special Ed is the invisible man. Lame Duck, drunkard, liar, inept, clueless for most of his life, and going through the motions in a position and job that he personally brought shame and disgrace. No one cares what he has to say. In six weeks he joins the ranks of the "forgetables".

A "Hat Tip" to Des Plaines PD for doing excellent work in neutralizing a threat to the Community. Can't say much for DPPD Chief for his comment (if he did say it). I am sure the "Chiefee" didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings. Poor baby, always looking for something to say, but instead suffers from Foot in Mouth disease.

Condolences to the victims and their families.

Best to injured officer and all responding officers. The Thin Blue Line at its best.

Slum-Times reports the dead mutt did 30 months DOC a few years ago for forgery.

30 months for forgery? If this was a Crook case I guarantee you the forgery beef was the reducer on a very serious charge. There is no way anyone would do time out of Crook for a mere forgery, which these days isn’t even a crime in Crook. No, if that was a plea deal out of Crook he got a huge markdown on a charge that if he had been prosecuted properly for he would still be in prison.

Bill Kushner was a sergeant that got sent to the academy around 1990 and was a breath of fresh air to the recruits. He rolled his eyes at a lot of the crap that was going on there with the idiot instructors. Always loved to share a good war story and was funny as hell. He must have misspoke and maybe was referring to the 15 year old victim.

Prayers to the injured officer, the 15 year old and their families. A complete fuck you to the robbers, media, Lori Lightfeet and snowflakes. Much has been said about the stupid comments from the Des Plaines police chief. No need to disparage fellow officers that take offense to him saying offender being shot/killed is “more regrettable.” Good man or not, that is a horrible statement to make when an officer is clinging on to life, forever damaged by these events. His words can’t be construed in any other way. To defend it as lip service or because he was a good CPD boss doesn’t negate the offensiveness of it. I remember I thought Eddy Johnson was a good boss in the district and, well, we see how he changed. There is a copper with a GSW to his fucking head, a family distraught over it as well. For what? Some POS bank robber?

I hope the officer and boy fully recover and enjoy a life outside of this worthless state city and state.

I’m glad the CPD Officer is gong to be fine, and one of the POS offenders is dead. I listened to the radio transmission and as a veteran officer having worked in busy districts my entire career and having been involved and/or on scene of a few police shootings, I can’t help but be irritated to put it mildly, why it took 23 minutes for anyone in the-know to mention that a CPD Officer has been shot in the head!!!! it took 23 minutes!!!!! How about calling a 10-1?! How about demanding to have cars clear the path to the hospital?! How about telling dispatch to alert the hospital that a shot CPD Officer was en-route?! That should have been an automatic thing! I can’t help but think that it must have been some 2-3 year wonder or inexperienced Officer failing to communicate that vital info! Unbelievable!

Kushner is on his third suburban department. He was a meritorious detective when it was a rarity. Good instructor at the academy, but was there a long time. Butted heads with him once when he was at Berwyn and he tried to put me thru some changes. You have to be political to be getting chief's spots in the suburbs.

Im sure Desplaines Chief Bill Kushner misspoke when he said it was regrettable that the bad guy was shot, I'm really sure he meant the 15 year old kid. Bill was and still is the real police, spending many years in CPD.It is very hard to speak in front of cameras for sure and CPD used to have A contract with Peter Karl who had his own business to teach our top brass how to speak and answer the press. They really need to do this for our news affair folks.

if you listen to the broadcast, the injured officers partner said that his partner was shot, possible a graze wound and that he was alert and talking. That's where the graze wound came from. The onscene units also thought it was a trooper at first. There was clearly a lot going on. Big kudos to the male dispatcher who really kept it together and all the outside district cars who helped out. That's what makes us different. 20 minutes after an officer, a bystander, and the offender were shot, we had it covered at the district level.
