No One Shot for 24 Hours
- Chicago went more than a full day without one reported shooting-- from Sunday night into early Tuesday.
There were no reported gunshot victims from 10:02 p.m. Sunday until 12:43 a.m. Tuesday, according to Chicago Sun-Times and Chicago police records.
Fourteen people were shot Sunday, the last of which was a 17-year-old on the southwest side. The boy was inside a vehicle around 10 p.m. when an SUV approached and someone inside fired shots, striking the boy in the leg. He was taken to a hospital and is in good condition.
The last time this happened was 21 March, and this is only the third day all year that didn't have someone shot.
Take a bow.
Take a bow.

Why was that shooting that occurred on East 79th St. last Friday not classified a hate crime. Two older White guys walking down the street shot by male blacks exiting a car and then reentering the vehicle and fleeing. No robbery occurred.
Homicide In 022!Tuesday nite! So much for the lull period !
I was out of town.
Trust me I am tempted daily.
Lori, did the city pay the Shot Spotter bill?
Hallelujah brother, the Lord loves Chicago after all.
Take the victories where and when you can.
With catch and release, it doesn't sound like you will run out of trophy league assholes any time soon.
Prayers for the CPD Officer wounded tonight.
Just saw the report on ABC News Overnight.
Time for a crime is down news conference by the new Supe.
Does the person shot at LEMART count ?
Up with hope, down with dope. The HUG-A-THUG-A-THON worked.
stabbings?
hit and runs with death?
cars falling in lake?
mysterious babys dying in sleep?
senior home death?
WE dont even investigate half the sneaky type murders!
If we had real gangbangers that would never happen. Maybe they were posting about how tough they are on Facebook. Taking selfies. Arranging wild flowers. Chicago type gangbanging stuff.
Well that didn't last long.
Gosh dang Indiana.
Congrats Chicago. What a time for a celebration. Drinks are on that drunk guy at the wheel of the not parked so well CPD vehicle.
When the floodgates open, be prepared.
Now, kees me you fool!!!!
This is something to be celebrated laugh out loud! Since this happened mayor and you gave the teacher is such a incredible amount of money for doing nothing with the children but holding them hostage to get all this money and you caved in on this how about going to Chicago Police Department a contract to give us 20% over four years plus let us contribute less to the Pension because we are doing more than the teachers obviously correct because we should get the credit it’s due to our tenacious work right there.
I remember when I was in the academy on O'Brien street a long time ago and they told us that there had only been one day in the history of the CPD when there was not one call for service.
I don't remember when it was, but probably during horse and buggy days.
As a great singer who made Chicago her home, Dinah Washington, once said...What a difference a day makes, 24 little hours.
Uh, Huh.
Just like the weather, wait minute and........well, U know.

Modernized their site; removed classic art-noir evening
photo of Chicago street. It's still gone. Replaced with
unwanted pop up ads for winter clothing. No thanks.

I remember the day the Pope was in town and said mass in Grant Park as being pretty "uncrimeful"
that we know about
And as he drove away that fateful night in the City Tahoe,
Eddie Johnson said "I Want No Quid Pro Quo. I Want
Nothing. Nothing."
Correction to the headline: It should be no one REPORTEDLY shot. At least half the major and minor crimes in Chicago go unreported.
Can you imagine the second largest city (soon to be the third) celebrating one day without a shooting. Their desperation never ends. Looking for anything to keep the Big Lie alive.
C'mon Chicago! You disappoint me. I'm sure you can do better than that.
011 made up for it today
Welcome to Chi-Raq!!!!
