- Two toddlers died early Thursday after a woman allegedly stabbed her grandfather, tossed one child out a window and then jumped from an 11th-floor South Shore apartment — leaving the other child scalded in a bathtub, Chicago police said.
Police are investigating the case as an attempted murder-suicide. They believe the boys are the woman’s children but haven’t confirmed that.

Class of Lieutenants last week of January, and Sergeant class 2nd week of February. In April LTs, SGTs and POs will have been identified to be moved around to restructured/additional areas. LT and SGT Classes are going to be big ones to help with filling areas (not filled during shuffle) and meet consent decree supervisor to PO ratios. Some training will be conducted by field training teams at districts (again to meet consent decree requirements) to free space at academy for supervisor training.
