This was created using a couple different databases. If you take the time to count the dots, it comes out to 517, slightly above the HeyJackass.com official count of 515, but it is essentially the same Medical Examiner data.
But you can certainly get a feel for what areas of Chicago to avoid.

I try to avoid the City as much as I can....So waiting for retirement when I can get the fuck out of here.
It would be interesting to compare that map to one of the racial makeup of each of those districts. And maybe show how many police officers, including various overtime, citywide, specialized units, each of those districts has deployed on average. Let's go crazy and look at the calls for service for CFD ambulances while we're at it. I'm sure those are quite higher in certain areas of the city. All the tummyaches, the "I'm pregnant"s, the "my leg hurt"s, the drunk/mental/homeless assholes, etc. that shouldn't actually be using ambulances meant for emergency medical care. I bet any comparison of that sort would be called racist.

The number of homicides for 2019 is around 515. Where is the concern and how many people overdosed from heroin laced with fentanyl in 2019? No one is talking about that. Just another death statistic that is glossed over. That same fentanyl whose origin is communist China and distributed throughout the continental 48 by the cartels after crossing those wide open borders.
All these deceased opioid-addicted souls getting little attention. How many American families have suffered immensely from the rages of heroin addicted loved ones? No concern by those local elected officials for these epidemic losses and broken American families. Not even a peep. Maybe it is time to draw up legitimate IMPEACHMENT ARTICLES for local democrats and recently elected socialists for failing to take appropriate corrective actions and their dereliction of duties to address this public health crisis.

This map explains an apparent inconsistency that always baffled me. Hey Jackass has Austin as the number one hot spot, while SCC has Harrison (011) in the top spot. Looking at this map shows a good part of Austin on the Hey Jackass map is in 011.

I retired 21 years ago and fled the scene two months later. Not caring much about what has happened in that shit hole ever since, it was interesting to see the change in homicide patterns in the last two decades. I never thought I’d ever see the day when 20 didn’t have any murders. My thanks to SSC for the years of reporting the comedy of events in that wonderful little town on the lake. Soon, the only thing left in it will be urban wolves and Asian carp. Don’t get hurt out there and don’t do anything either. You’re nuts if you do. Remember you have mortgages and tuition to pay for.

I honestly don’t get it. 011 is six square miles and CPD can’t saturate it with police to prevent all these murders??? Don’t get me wrong I don’t want them taking bodies from other districts but they need to hire more officers and stop this nonsense. I know most “victims” are bangers and dope dealers but there are plenty of kids that are collateral damage. It’s like the politicians don’t care and turn a blind eye. Amazing that this continues year after year.

Cartographer: Maybe you could create a map with both District and "Neighborhood" boundaries for clarification?

OT: The FOP lost the injunction to stop the new start times and squad policing in 006. 006 will be the pilot program for 2020 using unity of command and squad policing. When the policy was being explained by Commander Paul Godsell and Lt Donna Rowling of HQ to the roll calls at 006, here is what was PROMISED: 20% of watch granted time off, new equipment, no more PPO details and no more PPO's getting off status being sent out so 006 would have extra manpower. Now that the program is starting, guess what ISN"T happening? 15% time off, not 20%. Zero new equipment. PPO details continue. PPO's being sent out to other districts depleting manpower. Oh, and Godsell and Rowling were very concerned about our mental health while pushing this program! So the young cops of 006 learned a lesson today: never trust a thing from a HQ member. 011 has had horrible leadership for years. These commanders don't know shit because they've been merit since their first "promotion" to Sgt. All the merit hacks get thrown to 011 so they can add it their resume and say they worked there...like it gives them some kind of bullshit credibility (it doesn't). Then they get promoted. Been happening for years. Most recently the fat Johnson (the twin that's just as guilty as his indicted brother), made a fool of himself and got promoted to THE ACADEMY to teach all the FNGs how to beat the feds. Now you've got this bumbling incompetent Spencer fucking things up even more. Assholes like this have no idea what police work is and no respect for the ones out there doing it. Eric Washington was demoted from his commander spot in 011. The first time was after a "mass shooting" on 1123's beat years ago. Knocked him down to Lt and sent him to Homan Square (instead of a different district on midnights where he belonged). Of course then he got promoted, but still. Then he got brought back to 011 as a commander, and then kicked out again. He was a fucking bloated, useless windbag so it's a good thing he got promoted after his demotions. Wouldn't want to stray from the CPD protocol.
Spencer in charge of 011 is kinda like watching a 4 year old trying to pour a full gallon of milk.
