Concealed Carrier Gets One
- Two men were killed and two others wounded in a shooting Sunday on the East Side, according to preliminary information from Chicago police.
About 3:50 p.m., three men, 39, 27 and 20, were standing in the 10000 block of South Avenue M, when an unknown vehicle pulled up and two males jumped out, Chicago police said. Both males pulled out weapons and fired shots at all three men.
The 27-year-old man, who is a valid concealed carry license holder, pulled out his own weapon and returned fire, fatally striking one male, police said. The other male got back into the vehicle and sped off.
The 39-year-old man was struck in the leg and stomach and rushed to University of Chicago Medical Center where be was pronounced dead, police said.
So CPD has killed two assailants, a Concealed Carry Licensee killed another attacker, and over half-a-dozen "community" murders so far this year.

2: Concealed carry classes have waiting lists.
3:The Illinois State Police are dragging their feet on issuing new and renewal FOID cards.
4: The State Supreme Court may throw out the whole FOID law anyway
5: The CCL is economically discriminatory.
6: The CTA Red line is the bleed line of the transit system.
7: At least 12 other states have Constitutional Carry (no permits required) with no problems.

They got it wrong, The concealed carry and fired back killed one and wounded the other who fled to hospital. A fourth person was struck on scene and wounded. The CCL was hit multiple times a died later at the hospital.

How is all the other places that have much less restive gun laws, in fact open carry in a few states, than Il and Chicago have so much less crime than Chicago. Even NY and CA with their gun laws are seeing dramatically fewer shooting incidents than Chicago. Could it be that in all those other places criminals get punished? Silly me why would I think that might be the case.

My CCW permit up here in the dairy state cost me something like $10 for a 12 hour DNR sponsored hunter safety course and $40 for a four year permit. You FIBs are getting soaked. As usual. I left IL five years ago and never looked back.

the dead bad was from Terror Town or Lakeside (7400 S of Crandon) - unless you precede the shooting with a gang call or putdown before firing your weapon, can this be prosecuted as a Hate Crime?
