Bought and Paid For

  • It seemed strange enough the Sun-Times editorial board on Monday "strongly" endorsed Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx for a second term, telling voters to spare her the "injustice" of letting a "single high-profile mistake ... overshadow her accomplishments."

Foxx's "single" flub, of course, was cutting a deal to drop felony charges against actor Jussie Smollett, who police say faked a hate crime last year, and misleading the public about recusing herself from the case, among other things.

By Tuesday afternoon, the paper's early support of Foxx's re-election bid grew even more shocking when word got out that special prosecutor Dan Webb obtained an indictment of Smollett on six new charges related to filing false reports that he was the victim of a homophobic hate crime, and said the investigation to determine whether "any person or office involved in the Smollett case engaged in wrongdoing" continues.

Until you follow the money, that is.
Money totaling over $750,000:
  • But there's no mention of the $301,250 Sun-Times investor Michael Sacks has personally pumped into Foxx's campaign since September.

The endorsement doesn't include a disclaimer revealing the political action committees controlled by the Service Employees International Union (part of a collection of unions that own the paper) kicked in $425,000 to support Foxx's campaign in the last four months, according to public records.

There wasn't a single sentence about the $25,000 Sun-Times investor and politically connected real estate investor Elzie Higginbottom donated in October that the Friends of Foxx campaign didn't report receiving until Jan. 15, according to state election board records.
And the George Soros money, too.

Slumtimes was rescued from extinction by a group of wealthy influence peddlers for 25 million despite losing money every year. Their average reporter earns under 30k. They have to beg local politicians like Tom Dart to create jobs for spouses. In return for patronage kickbacks they give only favorable coverage to the politicians. Even Darts new spokesman Joe Ryan is former reporter who blamed a bunch of elderly white people attacked by Antifa in a restuarant in tinley park during NATO because they just happened to be eating at a restaurant where previous owner was an alledged white supremacist. Joe Ryan thought they deserved it apparently cause they forget to research the old owners backround. Crooked media bought and paid for !

Doesn’t the fact that Dan Webb contributed $1000 to Kim Foxx’s campaign cause one to suspect that even though Jussie was indicted, somehow FOXX is going to come out of this perhaps bruised but not damaged?

“a single high profile mistake”

Guess the recent murders of two decent Chinese Americans who were killed by an under prosecuted violent criminal doesn’t count as “a high profile mistake”.

Or the countless other instances of predators rooming the streets committing violence because of her.

But those aren’t really mistakes.

That’s by design.

She's an idiot who is certain to screw up time and again. I would think she would be seen as a liability to the brand and shunted off to somewhere she can't do any more damage. Not positive that Pfannkuche is going to be nominated in the GOP Primary or that he is going to do much in November if he survives. He has a credible opponent in Judge Patrick O'Brien.

Some of the Republican turncoats are promoting Pfannkuche as the Combine's sacrificial lamb to Foxx or the eventual Democratic nominee.

If the general public only knew the truth, they'd all puke in unison. Many wealthy people have contributed to Kim Foxx but its not because they are true believers in the social justice cause she pretends to champion, its because they love the almighty dollar. Take Loevy & Loevy for example - they have donated hundreds of thousands of dollars both directly and indirectly to Foxx because they know they can count on her to keep a steady and robust flow of cases of bullshit wrongful conviction cases coming their way. Kim Foxx will come through for them again and again so that they can sue taxpayers for millions and millions. And I'm not talking about the real bona fide wrongful convictions cases - heck, even I agree that if some poor bastard is unjustly railroaded for a crime he did not commit, he deserves a big payout indeed (if he is actually innocent and police and prosecutors knew it but put him in prison anyway). Loevy and Loevy is but one example of actors out there who are supporting Foxx not because of their bleeding liberal heart, but because of their greedy selfish heart. That's the truth. And when government doesn't have enough money to pay for those educational programs, after school programs, school lunch programs or job training programs, you need look back no further than the grand but very hidden conspiracy to bilk the taxpayers. And Ms. Foxx is a VERY important cog in that machine.

Nice job by Konkol. I'm glad someone in this town could be bothered to dig this up. I knew something about the ownership of the Sun-Times, but $750,000 to Foxx's campaign? Yeah, no wonder they printed a ringing endorsement. One mistake? The jail has gone from 11,000 to 5,700 inmates. What does that tell you? Our system of bail is 1,000 years old, maybe because it is necessary and effective for getting criminals to show up for their trials (part of the deterrent effect of law enforcement). I guess today's modern prosecutor knows better!

We merely have to ask ourselves what these esteemed parties will be getting from Crimesha to jussiefy their investments. Chaos? Yes. Anarchy? on its way. But the immediate question is why do these high dollar individuals want additional street crime and decreased property values, particularly among the high end, soon to be dollar stores on the 'Magnificient Mile. Considering how easy it is to roll up the criminal element when and if the political will exists, one might suppose that something like what happened to Georgetown is in the works. Or maybe these folks really have a pressing need to spend their fortunes to sink the city, and society in general. No matter the case, Foxx is being pushed for a reason(s) and competence is not among them.

The DC Community supported him and the powers behind the curtain cleaned up when areas like Georgetown were pushed into the ghetto, only to be miraculously resurrected with major profits to those that were able to buy cheap and sell high.
