"Do Not Hire" List

  • It's hard to believe Chicago City Hall's employment blacklist is only 29 pages long.

Fired police Supt. Eddie Johnson and the local media's favorite City Hall spokesman, Bill McCaffery, who also recently got the axe, are the latest former employees blackballed from city jobs. Jose Moreno, a former Chicago firefighter who pleaded guilty to molesting five children, and 21 other former Fire Department employees won't be considered for city jobs in the future.
Nearly 200 cops, almost 50 Department of Aviation people, a couple of aldercreatures - running to twenty-nine pages.

Almost as shocking are the names that aren't on it, including some very connected people who did prison time.

We don't have anything to add, just an amusing read we thought we'd share.

Old Gene Roy is on the list, but not Constantine "Dean" Andrews.

I guess Gene is not one of the finalists for superintendo!

Johnson is an @$$ and should never be hired anywhere. He was over promoted and a scammer.

There is a few people on the list that, if hired, they would be true ghost payrollers!

There were more than a few names that I recognized. Abbate was the first one...ironic. Burge is dead. You’re on the list even after you die? Well, if you can vote when you’re dead, I suppose anything’s possible, even getting rehired. Allison Schloss retired?! When was that party (the one celebrating that she’s gone, not the one she’d actually attend)??!! Saw a name or two from the distant past too. Didn’t know they were no longer employed.

Gotta love that consummate asshole Abbate is the lead off man on this list.

Speaking of Anthony, it’s my understanding that it’s true when you hear that “you can’t teach an old alcoholic new tricks”. Seems he was recently 501’d in a nearby suburb.

Oh, Tony... will you EVER win??

Ok so I see Allison Schloss on this list.
I know she was not a good supervisor let alone Commanding Officer.
But why did she resign? And under what investigation?

She was another merit promoted hack but what was the heat se left under

Shouldn't you have enough money in your deferred comp account along with pension be enough to ride off into the sunset after 20-30 years.

I wonder if that applies to city contractors? I was at some training recently about radiation and former deputy Dave McNaughton was one of the instructors. His names on the list.

Gerry Callahan is not on the list. He can still get hired for a "city" job.

The machine takes care of its own. It used to be if you were convicted of a federal charge and kept your mouth shut, when you got out of prison you magically obtained a high paying job as a tradesmen at McCormick Place, such as a drapery hanger or teamster.

I can see why Jackson. Moore and Ramos aren't on there, because they'd be dead or have one foot in the grave before they get out. But the rest of the Austin 7 didn't make the list.

State, County and the connected vendors therein always on the hook to payback hire the defrocked.
Plus it’s another pension to tap.

As for the Jugghead, he could find work in the highway transportation-insurance industry.
Versed in steering wheel slumping, they’re always looking for crash test dummies.

BTW, when the City is finished reviewing frame-by-frame imaging, do they release BWC video that could clear any former city official(s) ?

Matt Rodriguez. Although he was a prince compared to those that sat in the Supt. seat after him, he still was forced to resign and he got a CR on himself for consorting with a felon on his way out the door.
Nedrick Miller-015 district federally convicted slum lording dope dealing cop
IPRA supervisor Antony Finnell-under federal investigation for obstruction of justice
Chicago aldermen Cliff Kelley, Percy Giles,Virgil Jones,Lawrence Bloom, Allan Streeter, Perry Hutchinson, Marian Humes,Chester Kuta, Wallace Davis, Louis Farina, Tyrone Kenner...
Eugene Williams-quit and ran out the door during the IG investigation of the Chicago Police Lieutenants cheating exam scandal...

Just to get the word out. Mark Konkol at the Patch
made a comment that this is a racist blog because we
expressed a freedom of speach right in the lead story
about Kim Foxx and the elections. Mark himself has
expressed his opinions (you can find them online), one
of them being that the whole of the 19th is racist just
because it is mostly white. I think he has sour grapes
because his Patch salary probably isn't all that great.

What about the guy from the detail unit who was grabbed by IAD for trying to shake down some illegal who worked at his pals mexican restaurant and this cop worked security. IAD rushed in the bathroom guns drawn .he was never charged criminally but fired but he then resigned and is able to collect his pension. This is BS and he should only get to take out his portion of pension money. A total dogass.
