We're going to pick a side here and it isn't going to make some people happy. We're going to have to encourage the readers to do the following:
- Pfannkuche is going to be the Republican nominee. It's pretty much a guarantee. For this reason, we're going to encourage all CPD and anyone you can reach out to, to forgo voting in the Republican primary.
- Instead, ask for a democrat ballot (yes, it's painful, but it's the only way to actually succeed at what we're proposing).
- Vote for Conway in the primary race for Cook County State's Attorney. While you're at it, vote for Bernie Sanders (feel the bern!) Bernie winning will help hobble democrats nationally, so go for it.
- THIS IS THE BEST OPPORTUNITY TO DEFEAT CRIMESHA FOXXX. If she makes it past the primary, she's going to eat Phannkuche for lunch. That's simply a fact of voting demographics. So she has to lose the primary.

Many of us have already decided to do just what you proposed SCC. It is going to be painful but it the only way to rid cook county of the worst states attorney in the history of America. I just read that Foxx lives all the way out in Flossmoor- If true, why wouldn't she want to live in the south or west sides, where she can get first hand knowledge of how well her "reforms" are working out?

Bernie wins the nomination and demorats nationally are screwed up and down their tickets, especially in swing states. The DNC cheats Bernie again out of the nomination and his supporters destroy the party again by not voting for the DNC establishment nominee or flip and vote for third party candidate or even Trump to hurt the DNC. Either way the demorat party ceases to be a viable party at the national level and possibly at some state and local levels. The DNC can alienate the radical left wing and youth or alienate the demorat moderates and independents.

I don’t want to hear another word out of Lightfoot’s mouth about her concern for crime. She endorsed Kim Fixx. The absolute worst person ever to be states attorney. If Lightfoot doesn’t want to endorse Conway she could have kept quiet but she’d rather vote for the same shitty machine politicians.

He’s considered probably the most conservative Democrat in the U.S. House. He did not endorse Obama in 2012 and the Dems have been trying to get him ousted ever since. Vote for Conway and Lipinski on a Democratic ballot!
OT: I've been on this job close to 25yrs. I was a part of the S.O.S. I admit to being ashamed of some of my actions. It was part of real police work though. Lipinski will never get my vote. Sure he voted against Obamacare, but it was safe for him to do so, it would have passed anyway, so he was allowed to vote no. But the reason I will not vote for Lipinski is he voted yes to impeach President Trump.

I get the strategy of voting for the two weakest and most progressive candidates ( Conway and Bernie) and vote Republican in November. However listening to Conway (once on Wednesday in person and watching the Tribune debate) I will not vote for someone who states proudly that he prosecuted a police officer. If it wasn’t for Fioretti calling him out that it was an off duty financial incident you would think it was for an on duty incident. His daddy’s money and Campaign contribution of $8 million can’t buy real experience and won’t buy this vote. I can’t wait to leave this bizzaro world in five years for a better less taxes climate.

I agree with the Conway endorsement however do not vote for Sanders. He could possibly beat Trump because he has a passionate base and might be able to mobilize young people. Here’s my prediction: Foxx about 55%, Conway 40%, Fioretti and More maybe 5% combined. The idiot voters in Cook County and the media do not care about reason and common sense. Foxx will get 90% of the black vote and plenty of Hispanics and far left whites.

Saw her on WGN morning news. She was invited to talk about the mass Shooting
in Aurora on the anniversary of the shooting. She advocates shortening the period a
FOID is valid, and it sounded like she wants everyone printed to obtain a FOID.
She blames lack of communication between states for the Aurora shooter obtaining a
firearm,because he was a convicted felon from Mississippi. She apparently wants
laws enacted so police can do something about voided-FOID holders, so police
have a way to get your guns. She said police don’t know you someone actually has
guns, because having a FOID doesn’t mean you own any.
This sounds like she advocates a state registry.
She also referred to guns obtained by falsely having a FOID as ”Illegal guns.”
Never did she blame the Criminals who obtain guns illegally as the problem.
Never did she state how many convicted felons, that obtained guns illegally,
were released early and on parole by liberal policy. Never did she mention that
a gun owner with a void-FOID can have his guns disposed of in other ways than
turning them over to police. Never did she talk about guns used by criminals

I am happy you are making an endorsement, but would have suggested waiting for the Tribune's endorsement to put as much momentum behind a single, Not Foxx candidate.
I pull a Dem ballot even though I align more with Libertarian policies. Trouble with Cook County is I doubt the suburbs follow the same practice. I vote the Dem primary because I have to. Not all the suburbs are as stuck as the city dwellers even though we get the suck end of a lot of county policies.
It seemed strange enough the Sun-Times editorial board on Monday "strongly" endorsed Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx for a second term, telling voters to spare her the "injustice" of letting a "single high-profile mistake ... overshadow her accomplishments."
That statement is akin to Ilmar Oman's 9/11 statement of "Some people did something"
It's important that we get Foxx out of office. Totally incompetent.

He is the ONLY person who is a legitimate criminal prosecutor. Anyone voting in the Repub primary should vote for him. He ran against the democratic machine to be a judge and beat them. Don't settle for a light-weight republican. Vote for O'Brien. Voting for Conway is to keep Foxx from running in the general election. Voting for Sanders is secondary to voting for Conway. Voting for Sanders is just to give the DNC heartburn, but voting for Conway is crucial for keeping Foxx from running in the general election.
3) In the general election, vote for Trump and Pfannkuche.
4) How fucking difficult is it for the dopes on here to understand? All the excuses to not vote for Conway are nonsense and do not apply for the primary election. Besides, you will ultimately vote against Conway in the general election, but for now, in the primary, we all need to vote for Conway. It is our only chance to defeat Foxx. If she makes it to the general election, she most assuredly will be re-elected.

Lipinski's constituents, it is safe to say, were against the socialization of the healthcare industry and Obamacare, because they are not freeloading ghetto dwellers, and had decent healthcare plans already. This poses a problem for Lipinski, so he gets the blessing from the democratic party to vote no in order to not anger his voters and he keep his office. It passed in the House 219 to 212. Gee, that looks like plenty of room to spare, making it "safe for him to do."

Good call, SCC. For those of you still pushing for More, think about the fact that CONWAY announced that he was running even before Foxx announced she was seeking another term. Then MORE magically popped up after Foxx made her run official. Now think back to 4 years ago... when Foxx ran an opportunistic campaign based almost solely on perceived problems with how Alvarez handled the Laquan McDonald case. Back then, when Foxx made the CCSAO race solely about one case (oh, the irony! Don't judge Foxx only on Smollett, she now says!) and race and anti-police rhetoric, More ran a half-assed campaign just like she is doing now. She's a SPOILER to try to split the non-Foxx vote.
I don't know Conway personally. But he can't be worse than Foxx. Even if he's more like Alvarez was, which certainly wasn't the best of times, there is no way in hell he could be worse than Foxx. She has infiltrated the second-largest prosecutor's office in the country and dismantled it from within with incompetents and SJWs. It will take years to undo the harm she has done, if that's even possible. Conway seems the most dedicated to at least trying to right the ship. And I suspect we will all be pleasantly surprised by Conway the SA versus Conway the candidate... when he will no longer be constrained by Foxx's narrative of racism, blame-shifting, and playing the victim any time anyone dare criticize her or ask her to defend or explain her decisions.
Conway's ads are designed to not alienate any of the restorative justice nuts and win over any of the disgruntled Foxx voters that he can. He is actually pro-police and will enforce the law. I know the guy. You will like him in that office.

I’m an ASA and knew Conway when he was in the office. When they were firing ASAs in a budget crunch, he offered to resign so they wouldn’t fire a guy who had 4 kids. Yeah he prosecuted cops, but they all had it coming, including Pallohusky who ripped off the sergeants union. My drivers license won three times in three years so why can't I win the lotto? Before I registered to vote I never won the jury lotto. So I am not sure but it only took a reference to the two teared justice system to get kicked off.

I'm voting with the FOP endorsements. They endorsed Fioretti and he is always at police events. Conway believes we arrest folks for being poor. Also, I'm voting for Sanders because he said "hi" to me once before.
