- L.L. was so furious that protesters were at City Hall blocking her door she ordered City Hall Sgt. K to arrest women and children protesting with media present. He refused and was dumped a few week before his retirement. Is she really that stupid??????
At least the sergeant can retire with his conscience clean.

The good Sgt makes the arrest as ordered by the mayor and later gets sued for traumatizing women and children. And the mayor denies ever ordering the arrests. Better off getting dumped.
Good for sgt. k, he would have caught the beef and lawsuit, not her. The consent decree is working, the sgt used deescalation techniques to avoid the arrest.
This will become more and more commonplace as the weeks go by. Other departments will scoop you up. The day will come when you must decide. Life goes on.

So now, she is personally emailing Lower ranked bosses instead of going through the upper chain of command for answers? Seriously? this is getting ridiculous. What was the charge she thought she could lock them up for? Trespassing?

Two alderman were present and participating as well. One who represents Rogers Park on the far north side, the other the communist police hater Byron Sigcho Lopez of the 25th Ward, who was yelled at by his fine Chinese constituents who had two of their own brutally murdered last weekend.

couple of years before 09/39 polish teachers were replaced by russian teachers to begin indoctrination to socialism. dad didn't like what was being taught and it showed in his report cards. his reward for this was getting tossed into a concentration camp. why? he became old enough to cause trouble.

I went to College in Kiev, Ukraine for a month of "language immersion" in the 90s. Everything was stuck in the 60s. Trains, trolleys, and buses were ancient. They still did not have credit cards or debit cards. Nobody took plastic, period. Cash, more specifically, American dollars were preferred. If you visited a store, all items were behind a counter, someone had to show you the item as if it were jewelry. If you needed something, you went down to the Subway and shopped the black market.
They could never recover from Communism. The people were smart, they valued education, they were hard-working, and law-abiding but there was just no way to get ahead. The residential buildings reminded me of Cabrini Green, except there were hockey trinks instead of basketball courts. Everybody lived in one or two bedroom apartments except for the Government connected. They had awesome apartments and summer houses in the country.
Chicago can get worse if they go all in for Socialism. Trust me.

The city gets sued. They are the ones with deep pockets. You get named, but the city is always included because the have the money to pay
I lived in a socialist country for a while after college. I tell the "progressives" that they should do this before they spout off their agenda. History has proven that socialism does not work.
Sgt. exercised discretion, so as to avoid potential overtime.
But Mayor Groot said the poleec are the problem tho. Police should be removed not only from CPS, but from City hall as well.. thanks for enlightening me to these social issues Mayor Groot. From day one we have been on the right road. Full speed ahead.

For the new Sgt headed to city hall, make sure you carry a copy or a pocket constitution. Read it often and memorize the bill of rights. Sgt K knew full well that had he put hands on these protesters every single pos walking around city hall would turn their back in him. The new commander would have been nowhere in sight. All he wants to do is get promoted. Sgt K knows how to play the game. That spot isn’t as easy as people think it actually blows. That is a good point about wearing body cameras. I'm retired and do not know, but does the order list specifics about which police assignments must wear the body camera? It should be all for one, one for all. Police engage with the public every day no matter what assignment one works.

Daley I, with the then new residents of the south and west sides, allowed the gangs to flourish, businesses leave and panic peddler realtors to profit.
Various governmental programs, including CHA, Model Cities and Urban Renewal contributed to the West and South Sides' declines, along with various politicians assisting.
Around 2010 or earlier, various crimes began occurring on the North Side and Greater Downtown, all under the Daley 2, Alvarez, Evans, Rahm, Stroger/Preckwinkle and Dart.
In 2019, people generally did not want Daley 3, which is not Jerry Joyce's faullt.
The sergeant in question refused to arrest an 84 and 90 year old woman . The chief of her security a former secret has been harassing that detail from day one . Sgt K is retiring in two months and the one who should be should be launched is “that guy! “ Maybe the person who gets that spot should be the sergeant who is doing a 180 suspension for an off duty shooting of an autistic kid .
Believe me, that job is not easy. You have to deal with all the smarmy politicos, not to mention all the other primadonas that have titles working for the city. Then you have every citizen coming thru asking for advise, info, directions, etc. On top of that, every activist and protester wants to get into the Hall and stay overnight. Sgt. K is the consummate professional. He handled that position with the utmost professionalism, and new how to disarm just about any crazy person with a smile. He was highly valued. For him to be treated like he was says more than any words could about those in the seats of power. He will be missed. I feel for anyone who takes his place - it is a tough job. Sgt. K. I salute you for your service! I enjoyed knowing you and I wish you nothing but the best of everything in your well earned retirement.
Retired and glad of it.
