Which ones, would they be the laws enacted by Congress, would they be local policies that defy federal law? Doesn't federal law supersede local statutes and ordinances? What policies, specifically has Trump initiated that violate the law. Aren't different positions on all laws left to specific legislative bodies and if their constitutionality is challenged, isn't that done in the courts (way too frequently)? Hey, the tag line on all these political ads include the candidates approval of its contents, something to keep in mind when you're evaluating who you're gonna vote for.

EXACTLY. I remember when I turned 18 and voted in my first election, my Dad gave me this exact speech. I was like "But dad, I want to pull a republican ballot because I can't declare myself a democrat!" Eventually I learned to appreciate the above strategy and see how wise he was back then. Sabotage the Democrat party from within while appearing to be a full supporter by declaring dem, if anyone ever cares to start snooping. Surprised this strategy hasn't been advised and employed more often except for this recent election. i fail to see why it is painful to pull a dem ballot in a primary. rightly or wrongly it is usually the best chance you have to impact on the ultimate winner. the republican ballot is generally limited and sadly hopeless. there is usually a chance to dump the scumbag incumbent (prob with another scumbag) in the dem primary. voting in the dem primary doesn't make you a democrat but does give you the best chance at shaping the elections outcome. pretty basic stuff.

Fioretti, a long-time civil rights lawyer, pointed out the differences between his candidacy and those of his opponents. “The current State’s Attorney has declared war on law enforcement, which will end on my first day in office. Another opponent brags about his record prosecuting police officers, and a third voted for and contributed to a Governor who vowed to do away with their pensions,” he said. “I’m the only Democratic friend of law enforcement in the race.”
As the former two-term 2nd Ward Chicago, Fioretti voted against six of eight Chicago budgets because they didn’t provide enough resources for law enforcement. “I’m a long-time advocate for a strengthened law enforcement community, with not only more officers on the street, but more money for enhanced training, stress counseling, and of course the best equipment to keep them safe,” Fioretti said.
Fioretti said his long career as a civil rights lawyer standing up for the rights of individual defendants combined with strong support for law enforcement is the best way to keep the public safe. “Too many make the mistake of believing these are mutually exclusive goals. You need to decertify FOP 7 and align yourselves with the Teamsters. They have clout in the city and can bring city to a standstill.
