That last qualifier is where the rubber meets the road!!!
So why do we have to Swipeout for Overtime?You complete your Slip on the clearnet system and submit it for approval by the On Duty Watch Lieutenant.
It’s a disaster....it’s stupid and Beck knows it. But for OT? I believe everyone would agree?

4600A WILL NOT let that happen.
Supervisors tact CAPS front office and other special people and units stopped swiping months ago. But now everyone stopped.
no one has swiped out for 3 weeks! What are they going to do? I know, act like it was their idea! GTFO
FOP Pres said there is nothing they can do to you unless given a direct order!
He also said we are not getting Arbitrator Benn. City said he's out and gave another name..P.O.s bitched but he said there is nothing we can do about it!
Benn in previous arbitration hearings said when the economy is better the city will have to pay up. Remember the FLOP sold us on that saying it was a good thing. Now the city said go fuck yourselves.
Hopefully it is not true. Otherwise a lot of handjob officers will have to come into work and only work a full 8 hours! Cheaper to keep her kid! Yeah great, meanwhile all of us have to deal with cops that have made poor life choices.
I haven't swiped out OR in in months so IDGAF about this either way. This department was always too big, too inept, and too shady to ever implement this system.

Whats the point if you don't swipe out? The whole thing is and was a joke from the start. Expecting the CPD to get anything right is like expecting the connected to wait for a promotion or pass a promotion exam without cheating.

Is that Spradley? Did that goof finally get his call sign right? When he first came to area south sat he was calling himself 4600x. The goof still doesn’t know he’s 4690.
Good. Sticking around for 45 min just to swipe out is a waste of time. Kills morale too.
No difference for patrol with all this start time changes, they bang your ass for late jobs , no way to go home early, it’s going to be a very interesting and profitable summer
No one has swiped out in my district since this whole thing started.
Negative the new idea from Groot because contract talks are not going her way is swipe in then you must come to district to swipe out for lunch after your half hour you must swipe back in. No more hanging in restaurants she want you to take lunch in station!!! The at end of day swipe out. This is fucked up where’s the fop on this!!!!!!

Swipe out for overtime makes sense. Front office and the chosen few stopped swiping out months ago. Docs work only 5 hour days Most on the watch no longer swipe out. Only ones swiping out are PPO and a few select other dorks.

I’m happy swiping at least it evens out the playing field for the favorites who get cut every day, while I who ask for nothing stays my whole shift! It isn’t very nice that a bunch of special people are exempt from swiping because the commander says so! If they don’t swipe then they should get no overtime! House mouses should get zero overtime.... it’s a voluntary position office job! I’m not a hater but I’m out there doing police work year around and inside people get to pretend they are the police with benefits! They don’t work nearly as hard as I do or deal with any of the bullshit street officers do! Ok I’m done. Cpd will never be a fair place to work.. too much nepotism, politics and favors. Just have to get used to it as it will never change.

I het it kid, but not all that glitters is gold. Some are placed there due to injuries and it's not flowers and sunshine all day with shopping and bon bons galore. Groot no where to be found. When found she will stay this is unacceptable and doesn't reflect Chicago Values. She will meet with Beck and institute new strategies similar to last week strategies that left the city again in another crime spree. Crime is down. Wash, rinse and repeat. Crime is down.
In the mean time Beck is meeting with CTA officials on crime strategies to reduce huge increases of violent crime on the rails. He's gonna buy more camera's in order to better watch the victims bleed out. Wait a minute, I thought crime is down.

Re: the Mayor's detail, at least years ago under Rahm, did not even wear bodyarmor or carry full size duty weapons. They should have cameras, everything.
