Yes Biefeld has made arrests. As a young officer in 014 he was put on a clouted prostitution mission team and arrested street walkers. That was about a 2 year gig if memory serves me correctly. Many senior officers were very upset because the selection for the team was not done by number of previous arrests for prostitution. It was a slap in the face to hard workers by the department.
Well any idea of an outsider coming in and changing things is completely tossed away now.
Looks to me like several great LT’s have been overlooked for the captains list based on their age.
There are so many extreme bright and talented LT’s not on this list with 25 plus years experience.
Sad but maybe a sign to tell those hanging in there to get the hell out. It’s not worth it.
May this be the sign that allows for a May15 2020 exodus of great leaders.
In some way I am glad Ozzie didn't make it so I can still work for him. I'm afraid to get anyone else, like so many times before.

It interferes with the post workout recovery that he had grown used to all that time in the academy! Nice guy, but do we need anymore nice guys on this job??? I’d be a “great guy” too if I was given free promotions and Cush unit assignments my entire career! Beck youre more of the same bullshit we’ve all had in this department for DECADES!

He’d love it, especially if it keeps him close to Riccio's nuts until he retires, then he’ll jump back on Kennedy’s jock.

Sorry but I am going to have to disagree with you on this one. How did he destroy moral in 025??? The guy never bothered anyone to my knowledge. He'd come down to roll call, read the names, and be gone. Unless I had an arrest my interaction with him was minimal. And even then he'd be easy to bullshit with. Truthfully, I think he should have gotten a medal for having to deal with that moron Escamerit for so many years and not bidding out. The two of them definetly did not get along or like each other. I've also seen him go to bat for coppers, besides myself, when dumb Tony would try to pull his nonsense. Maybe your experience was different then mine but as far as supervisors go he was definitely one of the best ones I dealt with in my long career. He had a don't bother me, and I won't bother you attitude which is all I ask for. Outside of them approving my once in a blue moon arrest for domestic or shoplifter, I don't need to talk to any supervisor.

I worked for both Rowling and Baier in 006. Both solid picks. It’s nice to see competency rewarded on this job. Both of them made rank off test scores and didn’t come to 6 to try and prove something. Congrats to both!

In case you've been living under a rock, 001 and 018 are busy as hell now. Have been for years. Wildings, daily protests, street robberies, shootings, CTA robberies. I could go on and on. Hopefully wherever Mannion goes, his CO will make him cut off that bob. LOL

I don't know if he was a merit appointee to lieutenant but I do know that he was a rank order sergeant. He scored in the 170's. Lose the hate.
How did Vanna get promoted while on the medical? Doesn’t anyone check duty status anymore? Oh wait. Rules don’t apply to the “chosen few.” Things on this job will never change...for some people. Others get passed over all the time.
