Thinking Out Loud Here

So Special Ed is gone.

He's been placed on the "No Hire" list we linked the other day.

That means the CR number with his name all over it is not being investigated - it's closed since he's no longer employed by the Department.

And since it's closed, it's eligible to be the subject of an FOIA request for anyone who wants spend the time on it, including the affidavit and any attached video.

Any bored retirees out there?

Our department was already a mess, every promotion under his tenure destroyed it. Will take a decade to repair, at least.

Well then what is known should be released. Sounds like there was misconduct and illegitimate promotions of/by people who are not retired. In fact, some of those people have been taken care of very generously since they got out of Sgt school. And with EJ gone these people are still being protected. God forbid an exempt steps up and does the right thing by putting them on the street for some experience before their next illegitimate undeserving promotion to Lt.

There are plenty of questions......

But if any other CPD members are involved in this investigation.
And are principle to the allegations, they may keep the investigation under lock and key!

The accused may have retired which would mean the investigation is now over but
After working in CPD FOIA unit I have witnessed the pattern of denial of all heater cases.

And the reasons given have been the investigation are still open pending allegations against other CPD members
which were discovered by the original investigation.

I spent more time responding to the States Attorney General providing the evidence and testifying why reports cannot be released.

So yes get a retiree to email the CPD and City FOIA unit and request the CR investigation of Eddie Johnson being found slumped behind wheel along with further investigations involving false reports to the Boss, Mayor of city of Chicago.

The allegations are, conduct unbecoming, DUI, False reports. But may be more now.

Remember there are others involved and case may be moved from IAD to COPA and the IG

Now that is a perfect idea, time to look into this and hopefully rapidly his information can become public which it should be unless they are hiding it as a hide other things!

Sad to disappoint but there is no body cam footage only about 10 seconds if that & that doesn’t reveal a whole lot. I wasn’t there but do know people who were & this is what I was told

The fact that Ed 'can't get right" Johnson is the CPD poster child for merit based promotions should be more than enough for anyone who has "more questions than answers", "at the end of the day"...

Did E. J. "BJ" Johnson hand out answers to part 2 of the sergeant test on his way out? Will his multiple polishers rank really high?

Blame Rahm for this, he hand picked Johnson.

I would suspect that the city will deny all FOIA requests for the investigative file of Johnson stating that this is a personnel matter and exempt. You would have to appeal to the Illinois Attorney General, who being a liberal democratic Madigan Tool, would also deny the request. Then you would have to sue the city in circuit court. Now, that is expensive. Let one of the local newspapers do this.

There are some cops from 009 who were also served allegations under this CR so it may not yet be FOIA eligible.

Well your only half right. The CR numbers will still be blank pretty much. The CR investigation pauses for the IG investigation. All the evidence is in the IG investigation, IAD investigation didn’t even get a chance to start because of the IG.

We remain in Cover up mode. The REFORM Mayor keeps the coverup going to avoid tarnishing her lack luster reputation and her socialist leanings. Her lack of experience and poor judgement is demonstrated everyday. The lies are repeated and consistent. The citizens know Larry the Lier's public M.O. Just another Democratic pintsized politician.

He high-tailed out to avoid the embarrassment of the stumblin’ bumblin’ stammerin’ caught on the BWC, even though the IG never intended to release it after Lari got a view.
Skaked on a slam-dunk IVC 11-501, avoided discipline, zero scrutiny, but man did the bloated big mouth run like a typical chickenshit.
So what he’s a citizen now, hit him with a Juicy-Swolls obstruction case. Everyone should be held accountable for dodging a serious offense.

Who feeling the burn?
Has everyone else on the Slump’tover scene including Jugg’s accompaniments before, during and after, are they still subjects of this long drawn cover-up, whether this mystery is completely and fully shit canned. So much for that transparency.

Lying sacks of merits, silenced with non disclosure on promises to keep the entire escapade quiet in exchange for....what?
Groot got control this coverup. Wonder who Jugghead called after the incident that had enough juice to quash it.

The City has a way to make FOIA take at least two years minimum with additional legal challenges, hefty out-of-pocket expenses.
FakeNews Trib learned that when they wanted Rahms City emails and phone logs a few years back.

When SpecialEd shows up for work at another gubmint agency this year it will confirm that the entire file was shredded, burned and buried.

Unfortunately I agree on this one. Let's just move forward. Anything we uncover is just going to make us all look like shit as a whole in the eyes of the public. And there's more POs involved than just EJ, who have alot more to lose. We all know nothing more will happen to EJ, he's set for life regardless. He's a product of the machine. Even his "firing" was all for show. Hell, he'd still be commissioner if the script called for it. My #1 concern are the poor blue shirts involved in all this. The more we can fade this incident, the better chance they have to keep their livelihood.

I'd beg to differ, this incident was Carried out of the confines and constraints of normal operating procedures. spent the day drinking alcohol with his crew as observed on video and observed slumped over the wheel on the street otw home at the wee hours of the morning and not to a job. . so yeah, ABSOLUTELY 100% FOIA-able :) nice try sjw troll

Nah, fuck all that. What did the blue shirts involved do wrong that they have to worry about? The more these exempts get slammed, current ones or retired, the more City Hall will hopefully be shamed into promoting people with at least a few functioning brain cells. They will probably always be corrupt, but God damn, put some of them in charge that didn't flunk out of toll booth school.

If a couple blue shirts get fucked because they were involved in a cover up then oh well. Some of us are lucky and some of us ain't.

No matter how slick and smooth you believe yourself to be, it is still a personnel matter and, therefore, exempt. Nice try though. Oh, and anything is FOIA-able, and all requests are answered, but not every answer includes documents. Capeesh?
