- The Trump administration is deploying special tactical units akin to SWAT teams to Chicago and other sanctuary cities to assist in everyday immigration arrests.
News of the deployment, first reported by The New York Times on Friday, has triggered an immediate response from city officials and immigrant groups who decried the move as an intimidation tactic.
A spokesperson for Customs and Border Protection confirmed the planned deployment to the Chicago Sun-Times.
The agency will send 100 officers to work with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which oversees arrests and deportations in the interior of the country.

Start at the CITY COLLEGES of CHICAGO (CCC). There are 900 to 1100 English as Second Language program (ESL) students enrolled @ Daley (900) and AVI (1100) campuses as well the other CCC campuses. The numbers break down roughly: 20% to 25% are Citizens or have documentation to become citizens. Plus 15% to 20% of the total ESL participants do not live within CCC district (Chicago), meaning that the taxpayers in that District are picking up their tab.

Everyone of us has funny favorite story. I been retired a long time. But back in the late 70's I was working in the old 23rd District on midnights. About 0530 we decided to have breakfast. We went to a place off Broadway and while we were eating two Mexican workers walked past us carrying a ladder, bucket of soapy water and a squeegee. A few minutes later a bus pulled up, an Immigration Agent got out and talked to the workers. A little later the owner asked us what happened to his works. Outside was the ladder, bucket of soapy water and squeegee.
Will help to keep down all the illegals from voting in the 2020 election......

The simpler thing to do would be for the feds to come in here and the arrest the people, that are responsible for enforcing federal laws enforcing any laws but yet are telling the people to hide harboring fugitives which would be the usual suspects the elected that said at City Hall the County building and the statehouse start locking up some of them watch how quickly things change until then nothing will change.
My neighbors of over 20 years are all illegal. I had no idea until the husband admitted it shortly after Trump was elected. They're not friendly people whatsoever and have always kept to themselves. I've noticed strange behavior in the last couple of years especially during announced raids. They disappeared for over a month this past June and July. What are the chances of them being targeted since this is a sanctuary state? Btw, there is in so such thing as an illegal immigrant. That word is a total oxymoron. The proper term is illegal alien.

It's like trying to bolt the door after the horse is long gone and settled in somewhere else. Certainly ICE should be doing what has to be done but if we had taken a hard line on this decades ago things wouldn't be the mess they are today. I remember clear back in the 80's when they gave amnesty to illegal aliens. Didn't they think rewarding criminal behavior would only make things worse. And it has only gotten worse. There need to be more Hispanic people speaking up for the enforcement of these laws.
I can tell you right now that my friend from the Philippines couldn't even get a tourist visa, because she is classified as poor and therefore not a good risk, even with a return ticket and me saying I would cover any expenses incurred (i.e. traffic accident) which is part of the deal of a tourist visa. So they really are hypocrites with regard to immigration policy. And because they spend so much time dealing with illegals it takes even longer for those waiting doing it the legal way. It makes me sick all of it. Almost all the politicians are useless, scared someone will call them racist. And they care nothing about the problems with legal immigration. People with backbones continues to disappear. People don't even vote, that's why we got Groot. I don't know how the heck I got on a Tammy Duckworth's list and even after unsubscribing she spams the hell out of me. What a useless thing she is.
