Future Supe Tests Positive
- The mayor and police chief of west suburban Aurora have both tested positive for coronavirus, city officials said in a news release Friday.
Both Mayor Richard Irvin and Police Chief Kristen Ziman were tested Saturday after an Aurora police supervisor contracted the virus.
Chief Ziman and her command staff began self-quarantining on the morning of Saturday, March 21, following the recommendations after the police supervisor was tested for coronavirus the prior evening, according to the news release.

I TOLD you there would be a delay before Ziman came
on scene. That's 2 weeks paid leave to pack for Chicago.

sgt in 003 confirmed positive but took a few days to figure out a way to get tested no clear guidelines Medical said ok you have symptoms stay at home. Was spit on by offender but despite admission on camera by offender on duty WC would not do any charges. Just IOD Unions should have a form letter sent via email up the chain notifying Department exactly what happened. Send copy to Management and Labor affairs requesting grievance. Deenihan is the answer. One of us, smart and a class act. We could not do better. I do not know him personally, but have observed his persona and demeanor from the sidelines. If only he were a lesbian, he might of had a chance.

When oh when will you limited vision MoFos get it through your head that people who are chosen to lead departments are NOT being hired on the basis of being the so-called "real police." People who are in charge of reviewing credentials and making the final hiring decisions don't give a flying fugge about how many search warrants you executed, how many burglars or drug dealers you arrested. Those have nothing to do with the job of being an administrator of a municipal police department! Many times it comes down to who will have the best working relationship with the city council, mayor or city manager. Wake up!!!

As far as I can tell, from being on the job and being a lifelong Chicago resident, it has always been that way. You always needed the right connections to get where you wanted to go, and while credentials or anything else helps, it is the connections, being in the right place at the right time, etc and bring the right person( usually race, this time gender)
That really matter. As far as I know it has never been ,' who is the best cop' to be the superintendent. Some were good, but they want media presence and social media skills. Maybe I am too old school, but how many do you know who would be good at that?
