These are not lawful orders, and I would suggest any CPD officer refrain from attempting to enforce them unless under direct order from a supervisor. BTW, how many millions of dollars has the City paid out to date for Civil Rights violations stemming from the mass arrests at the 2003 anti-Iraq war protest? Many of these cases are ongoing, and the total is sure to increase.

50 to 70 tons a year. 10 bodies to a ton, typically. They showed 6 trucks of bodies in Italy the other day and said they held over 700, so about 6 truck loads a year, give or take a truck.

We could be looking at a pension crisis maybe as early as 2021 or 2022. The way these people that now run the city feel about cops, I wouldn't be surprised if their attitudes are, go pound sand.

Probably lost some money in the market correction? That’s a sure thing, the question is how much. Problem is while the world waits for the market to come back up which could be years the fund is paying out pensions.
Ive been retired for a few months now. I thank God every single day. My heart is heavy for you all. Lightfoot is in the deep end of the pool and she can't touch bottom. Pritzker, whose politics I hate, at least had the brains to shut the schools. I hate the fact that he blames the feds for shortages of basic medical supplies. Its not the federal governments job Hospitals are For-Profit agencies who ran their supply chain very tight for financial reasons. 1500 cases should not bankrupt you of your basic needs. But i digress. Lightfoot is not capable of making a sound decision during this time of crisis. Other then the political nonsense, Pritzker has at least been out front. Us first responders welove our St. Joe county residents and we more than understand that this is a stressful time for all of us.
But please do NOT call us or 911 to say that someone is outside golfing or fishing, or that a group of kids is playing baseball or playing on playground equipment, or that two people are walking down the street holding hands. Normal & healthy outdoor activity is permitted, although social distancing is encouraged.
If the outdoor activity you are calling to report involves some other criminal activity; ie. breaking into a garage or car, or using a controlled substance, than please go ahead and call to report that.
However, if you are calling to report someone doing an outdoor activity that was normal just ten days ago, please step or lean outside of your house, close your eyes & take ten deep breaths, and repeat the phrase "I will get thru this. I cannot change what is happening in the world around me, but I can control how I respond to those changes and how I treat this others in this changing world."
We love our St. Joe county neighbors, please do us a favor and love your neighbors too.

A few years back Vinnie Esposito (former CPD was too young to be retired from job) was killed by a Flor idiot copper who said he had an air soft pistol on him during some strange stalking investigation. Does anybody have any information on that caper that wasn’t made public at the time? This one reeked the moment I read it.

Man shot by Largo police officer dies - Bay News 9
PINELLAS COUNTY (Bay News 9) -- A man who was shot by a Largo police officer died Friday afternoon.
According to the Largo Police Department, officers responded at 4:20 a.m. Friday to a 911 call about a man with a weapon.
Neighbors said the incident started on 14th Avenue SW in Largo, when 41-year-old Vincent Esposito was shooting a car window of 40-year-old Renee Salazar. They said that another neighbor saw the suspect, chased him and called the police.
Officials said Sgt. Frank Parr confronted Esposito, who allegedly didn't drop his gun. They said that Sgt. Parr then shot Esposito in the chest.
Esposito later died from his injuries.
Authorities later said the gun Esposito had was a BB gun was a replica of a 1911 .45-caliber hand gun.
Salazar said the incident was the culmination of several months of harassment by Esposito, who she said slashed her tires and shot at her house and car windows. She said she reported it to the police, but she didn't know who it was until Friday morning.
Salazar said her friend dated Esposito month ago, but they broke up and he blamed Salazar for it.
"[Her friend] told me she didn't need someone that was controlling, and that's what he was and she wanted out and he couldn't handle it," she said.
Sgt. Parr has been placed on routine administrative leave until the investigation is complete.
