Can someone upload the packet that HQ sent out to the districts with instructions and pictures of how to tape off a NO GO zone on the floor 6ft in front of the desk. My district did this last night and even put a sign up right as you walk in with big bold letters that read "DO NOT CROSS THE RED LINE", and the few assholes that came into the station walked right past the sign right into the no go zone. Whoever came up with that idea should be beaten with a dirty sock full for quarters and demoted.
Those kits are a big nothing! But what the city could do to protect it’s police officers is CLOSE THE FUCKING BUILDING TO THE PUBLIC!!!! It’s the easiest thing to do. There is absolutely nothing essential or urgent that the public needs at the station. I’m shocked that more cops and citizens aren’t screaming for the city to do this. If the station goes down the entire neighborhood will be vulnerable. Why isn’t the media asking the mayor about this. She closed everything else including city hall.
I'm so grateful to CPD, march 21st, 2020 we were given our chinese coronavirus hazmat safety packs. thank God, because the virus has been spreading since January. packed in old inventory bags. which were cut in half, then heat sealed together on three sides. I just wonder who slapped these together,I'm sure whoever it was, used the utmost sanitary germ free conditions, and I'm sure there hands were clean and sterile, shoving everything in there. Us first responders should feel proud of our mayor, governor and leaders in the department to recieve such quality. just know as a part of billions spent, we got our part of the apple pie.

Not much protection being used. Those masks they were wearing are no good. Shirts off because they were hot!!

Not only that, these items were NOT prepackaged from some medical/biohazard supplies distributor. If you look closely, you’ll see that these items were hastily assembled by hand, put into pieces of lockup prisoner property bags and then heat sealed.
So none of these items arrived in the hands of those coppers receiving them sterile. The items were handled by God-knows-who (I believe I saw a photo of Charlie Beck observing/helping other officers) and “goody bags” assembled. Possibly by people who themselves may be sick/infected while in an unsterile location.
So in theory all of this shit is contaminated.
Nothing but the best and the brightest running this shit show.

It’s outrageous that our stations are still open to the public for taking reports. These reports can be done over the phone and put on hold. The city is taking a big gamble. Someone could infect the entire station. Then what? The city could give a shit about their police officers because the easiest thing they can do is lock the doors until this is over.

Not the best kit obviously but once you use it you get another one.
Another thought why are we not using the alternated report system to its fullest extent. These clowns sitting at ARS are rejecting jobs and passing them back to officers forcing them to violate the CDC contact rule. There should be lines set up outside of the station so one person at a time can be dealt with behind plastic sheltering and at least 6 to 8 feet of distance if they must come in. I don’t know about you but our Commander, captain, Lt, all set in an office and allow everybody to get contaminated and doesn’t worry a phuck about us.

Try to keep distance from each other as much as possible, wash hands with soap 20 seconds.
Use 70% alcohol spray out in the field, wipe down door handles, equipment, etc.
PUT officers at all entrances of ALL police stations, to keep people OUT!
Have officers (use new recriuts) outside of entrances in riot/tactical gear with face shields to scare away people

The CTA has a postive driver now. Many CTA workers, plus many riders have been comprimised.
The CTA trains are like the last cars on a "Snowpiercer" on a good day, now they are a mobile no man's (ladie's too) land, enter at your own risk.
