Protect yourself, your continued employment and the safety of your family above all other considerations.

This needs some explanation for the masses. And I apologize if it embarrasses Joe. Sgt Klipka was in charge of the City Hall detail until recently. He’s a good guy, a good boss and was a good copper back in the day. He was very conscientious about what should and should not be done by the police in protecting City Hall. Well, a couple of months ago there was the usual protest at the Hall, in fact a group did a sit-in on the 5th floor outside the Mayor’s office. Seemingly no big deal. Been done before, will - well, maybe... - be done again. You know, that whole “redress government” thing from the leftist’s biggest enemy, The Constitution. So, Lightfoot will have none of it. We can only guess at her motives. But the head of her bodyguard detail, you know the guy - the former federal court bailiff - tells Joe to have the officers move the group out or lock them up. Joe explains 1) why it can’t be done and 2) why it shouldn’t be done. The protest continues and, of course, they eventually make their point and scurry home.
The next day Joe gets dumped.
Thank you for doing the right thing, Joe. You protected The Constitution, the City, the CPD, your officers and the Community. You, however, made the mistake of not trying to protect the sensitivities of a stupid politician. Enjoy your retirement, you’ve earned it.

No policeman who has more than two neurons firing in his head would even entertain enforcing any of the nonsensical ideas they spew because at the end of the day none of it will hold up in any of these ultra progressive courts. The public is well aware of the health hazard out there and anything they do is at their own risk at this point. The only good that can come from this mess is that maybe, just maybe, the citizenry here will start to realize just how useless this over-grown, bloated bureaucratic city/state government really is. All the taxes, fees, permits, fines, and high priced property get you absolutely nothing. It couldn't even provide one of its own departments - a FIRST RESPONDER/EMERGENCY entity, basic cleaning products when we needed it. Anything useful we have gotten so far has come from the private sector donations and officers bringing in their own supplies. And this is coming from a so-called first class city.

First watch the news of the shutdown in the San Francisco area. Note that in Los Gatos and other such places where the population is mostly white and asian the streets are empty. Apparently those folks take responsibility for their own safety and generally follow the law. The problem is of course, is that these white/yellow liberals think that everyone acts like them and members of other communities will follow the rules and stay inside.
Now let's go to your town, Chicago. Certain neighborhoods, like those out west, will follow the rules and only go out when necessary. Other communities will not, and we can guess how many "just getting their life together" folks will be out on the street. Those folks will be contacted by the low-intelligent officers (defined not by IQ but the standard of not knowing enough to see what is going to happen next.") who will remind them to go home. These young democrats will explain to the officer in the language of their people that the officer should go have sex with his/her self and after that their mother. Maybe the officer will see that gun or dope and the next thing the young and upcoming community leader will be arrested, maybe for resisting arrest or one of the charges described by mayor. What will happen next? As predictable as the sun coming up tomorrow. First we'll find that more people of color, most black, are stopped by the police than white people. Next we'll find the young reprobate was confronted by the racists police when all he was doing, because we all know how much these folks care about their children, was going out to get milk for his hungry baby. BLM and the community activists will be at the throats of the officers, and then these officers will really find they have no friends.

Not having been in a police car for over 30 years this may be out dated advice, but back in the day we had PA (public address) systems in our cars. How about hitting the PA with a public service message - "Kind, gentle citizen, your political leadership has directed we, your humble servants, to remind you to remain home for your own protection." OT. Out of concern and safety for all of our participants, IROCC will be cancelling all qualification shoots beginning at the end of business 3/20/2020. All of our shoots through April 2020 are cancelled. Scheduling for qualification shoots is currently suspended. Once we have information regarding upcoming dates and locations all eligible participants that are currently being processed, will receive an updated schedule to choose a date and location to attend a shoot.
Please keep in mind, there is no grace period after your current card expires. Your IROCC card is a qualification card for Federal Law H.R. 218 Law Enforcement Officer Safety Act. We do not have any authority to make such changes. If something does change, we will post this information immediately.
The IROCC office will be closed until March 30th, where we will reopen with limited hours.
On the other side of the coin, the Trump DOJ has sent Congress a request asking to give chief judges the power to indefinitely detain people without trial during national emergencies. Is suspension of habeas corpus next? Can men be handmaids? Gilead is coming closer to reality.
