Smart Idea, Really Dumb Idea

Someone is actually sort of thinking ahead:
  • The Department is easing into twelve hour days. First cancel days off, evaluate, then if need be, deploy units, then Districts to 12-on-12-off.
But then, after closing sporting events, restaurants, bars, schools, parades, and all sorts of  large-crowd events, Groot does something extremely dumb:
  • Metra has announced plans to sharply curtail service in response to the precipitous drop in ridership even before the governor’s order. But the CTA is planning no service cuts even though ridership Wednesday was down 75 percent on rail and 59 percent on CTA buses.

“Public transit is an essential service, and it’s important to keep it moving for those who need to travel for necessary reasons, including health care providers, emergency personnel and others who rely on transit,” CTA spokesman Brian Steele wrote in an email to the Sun-Times.
There's an invitation to disaster if ever we saw one. Have you seen Michigan Avenue tonight?

Those aren't boarded up because they've been looted. Those are boarded up to protect the empty stores from crowds of otherwise unoccupied CPS students who are out of school for the next thirty days.

Groot's CTA is giving them easy access to an empty Mag Mile....and that is going to further stretch already thin CPD resources, because the governor's and mayor's declaration to stay home is falling on deaf ears and empty skulls.

So your going to keep the Red Line escape route open? Brilliant. First you tell people to stay home then you don't curtail public transportation. Any bus driver or El Moorman that gets attacked will have a huge check coming his way. The only good thing that might come out of this is that most decent people will obey and those on the street to be preyed upon are the lowlifes. With any lick the self cleaning oven gets a very good cleaning. To those patrolling the communities Be vigilant, practice good situational awareness and do not get out of your beat car for ANY reason. No need to interact at all with them. Roll sown your windows and yell is you must but do not engage. Suggest you all make a big GO HOME sign you can flash at them. Flash tensing and drive on you have done your job according to Fat Man and Beck.

Every news channel in Chicago is reporting COVID-19 for their entire newscast. No time or reporters to report on crime. All of Michigan Ave could be burning and the viewers wouldn’t never know so hence Larry doesn’t care. And let’s say the fine CPS stoodents did loot, they will never see the inside of a jail, juvy, or a courtroom. Not with the scare going on. Foxx will dismiss charges in order to keep them healthy. Pritzker was asked yesterday about the “220 poor children in state juvenile justice custody”, if your a kid locked up in state custody for committing a crime it must be pretty serious, we’re talking murder and rape, yet in their eyes they are poor children who should be home with their families. Pritzker said they are working to send as many home as possible to keep them healthy during this time. Do you really think they will be sending any back when it’s over? Also FOXX said she is releasing as many from cook county jail to keep them safe and JB is releasing as many from the state prisons with less than a year to serve or who are deemed non-violent. This is COVID19 is a social justice warriors dream come true. In the future where there is a budget crisis, flu outbreak, or just election season, they will be saying release everyone, we did it during Covid let’s do it again!

JB could of ordered the stay home order a week ago after he saw everyone out on St Pats day, but heaven forbid they don’t get the Dems out to vote, that was priority #1, not the safety and health of the citizens. Now all of a sudden it’s important to stay inside and keep away from everyone. On Election Day it was safe. DemocRAT way!

The Michigan Avenue board-up is truly one of the saddest things I have seen in my life. It absolutely reflects what this city has become. Even though we continue to pretend life is normal, the "disaster preparation" is not being done for any impending natural disaster, but instead for the social disaster that is supported, encouraged, aided and abetted by the commie left.

I read the following IG post from a girl that went to a prestigious Chicago high school with my son. She went on to a liberal east coast college. WTF are they teaching in school?

"Please stay informed about what you can do to slow the spread of the virus and support people who are vulnerable- service workers, the elderly, small businesses, the homeless, prisoners, etc. We need to be there for each other through mutual aid and, most importantly, SOLIDARITY in the face of mass evictions, deportations, and the punitive arm of the state. We cannot let this crisis disintegrate our social fabric. Instead, let your frustration about the suffering of the moment radicalize you. The structures of power are weak right now. Organizers are securing huge wins like eviction freezes, freedom for prisoners and those held on cash bail, and the end of non-violent arrests. It's tempting to despair, but there is work to be done and a huge opportunity to lead discourse toward empathy and equality. Remember how you feel now when politicians tell us that healthcare, housing, food and water are not human rights. The wealth and rights of our society can only be judged by the poorest and least powerful among us."

again - WTF?

0bama's beef with the cops intensified because he used to get pulled over on I-55 on the way to Springfield. He also used to drive 85-90 MPH but assures us the cops just picked on him because he was half black.

I doubt the police could even tell his race when he was zooming by that fast. It seems to me if "tha community" was deathly afraid of the police like we are told they would stop breaking the law ,at least in public.

This disgusting looking mayor will never win a contest for being best dressed. I just saw a picture of her in her business pant suit, never wears a dress, but I guess most men don't. She wont cut CTA service because thenhow will her peeps get downtown to cause HAVOC? The city will never recover from this COVID bullshit. WIt and see how much money is stolen.

Seriously? Where have you been since 1992?

Or, are you imitating Fred Gwynne as Judge Chamberlain Haller?

A yute is a yute. Although some people call them a youth
As far as where he has been. My guess he wasn’t even born in 1992 and never saw the movie

Do NOT Panic! Your neighbor to the North— Wisconsin— has BOTH the trees to produce wood pulp AND the paper mills to turn the pulp into toilet paper. Additionally, the hard working, beer drinking, cheese curd snacking workforce to “ get er done”.
