Seems like someone didn't get the message:
That's the 0-100 block of East Wacker on Friday afternoon, and just about every car there is ticketed for a meter violation - hardly a "public safety" violation as Groot had promised.

Speaking of not getting the message, I guess the youngsters in 12 just don't fucking get it and want to be like 11, doing traffic stops for pimpy violations and making arrests all for what, to make yourself look good to make it on tac or to make your tac Sgt look good? Congrats,you just showed everyone how truly fucking stupid and self centered you are. They even had to tape off the gym there cause gels and barbies were there working out in the dark.
I thought all non-essential city employees were off? How the flying fuck are meter maids essential to Chicago ?

Well if people would stay home they wouldn't get a ticket....seems like the non-essential employees are writing City Revenue Dollars!!!! Good to know that the City has things under control. I wonder if the hand machines the meter maids use are sanitized???? I so love this City.

Yet they’ll be no tickets or arrests should you jump the turnstile and head downtown to loot what you can, pull off plywood, ransack the high-end merchants, run off with armfuls of ‘free stuff’’ then assault paying CTA riders on your way home...
I said it to myself 2 weeks ago, that such would not stop, and in fact step up this game.
And that's Chicago's top priority, has been for many years, to stick it in people's asses and laughing all the way to the bank. It would be a cold day in hell that this city would do anything positive for its citizens.
I'd bet on the near west side where I'm at, they're combing the streets 24/7 like they always have, looking for anybody to ream.

I come on here because there is nothing to bitch about in my town. My family and friends in Chicago keep me up to date on how badly they have been getting fucked for the last 35 years. When my Dad lost half the value on his house due to busing in the 80s, I took the hint. Distance is the only answer. If you don't understand that, you deserve to live in Chicago. You are enablers. You enable the useless with your taxes. For what? Leave it to them. They are going to get it anyways. Does anyone see a big turnaround?
Reading this shit makes me so happy because leaving was the single smartest thing I ever have ever done. My friends and family say the same shit every single time that I visit, "I should have left when you did". But they didn't. Misery loves company.

Why are they getting tickets? Did they not pay the parking fee? If they did, they can't be ticketed just for being out. There's no actual law behind Fredo's order.

Police will still be blamed when those are obviously not police citations.
Yeah, I had to chuckle yesterday afternoon. Essentially one car was parked on Oak street just east of Rush, and some ass wipe meter maid was out there giving it a ticket.
We are being forced to work. Complain to our department or the mayor. They consider us essential. Believe me we do not want to be out there.
Didn’t think the meter maids wrote the tickets on meters since the company and the meters. Anytime I’ve seen tickets being written on meters it was from employees of the meter company, not city dept of revenue or meter maids
Those are all enveloped tickets given out by METER MAIDS. From my knowledge, cops aren't issued those envelopes.
You ain't kidding about the young cops in 012. We were all warned to stop bringing in arrests and activity and stop filling up the processing room and Central Detention. Nope...car chases, DUIs, traffic stops, foot chases and now car crashes and IOD-TRR reports the same as before. Then you got 3-6 people working out in the gym and not wiping down the equipment while leaving the weights and empty water bottles tossed around on the floor. I can't explain or justify their behavior and it's all 3 watches. You really can't stop this nonsense for 2 weeks?! I guess cause they're all connected and juiced-up they feel the rules (and virology) don't apply to them.

Few Points.
1: FInance PEA's and Ser Co issue all Title 9 tickets.
2. CPM/LAZ have their own Union Ticket Writers that can ONLY Issue Meter Tickets.
3. Several years ago, while working in w/e district is Madison and Austin...the District there had one of the Older model Finance Ticket Machines. Was after City Sticker tickets went from 120 to 200. But their machine was still issuing them for 120.
So some cops actually know how to use the Technology we use. Others can't write their way out of a paper bag. Case in Point.
011 & 015 cops issuing 9-76-160 for Rear/Front to 1 car for Both Missing Plates.
Continue to hate on us. Knock yourselves out.
Remember though. M and MP plates are not actually Legally Exempted from Tickets.
Ask your Bike Guy about that one next time you see him.
