If only there were actual investigative reporters left in town.
- How about someone files a FOIA request for the past week or so for COVID-19 Dispersals. The code that is supposed to be used by OEMC is CVL (which is an amusing choice in and of itself).
Then overlay the CVL Dispersal numbers over a map of the city and try to see where the vast majority of these events are concentrated.
Finally, overlay a second time over known cases of COVID-19 by neighborhood.
Too bad there aren't any cub reporters around who could be tasked with this boring and paper-intensive type of work. It's just so much easier to reprint Groot's press releases and not ask her any actual hard hitting questions.

They have been using the event Public Safety Concerns (PSC) lately and these events are also created by call takers regarding 911 complaints. Whenever there is a dispersal the event is coded out DI(number dispersed). No doubt to stop people from compiling numbers. Not impossible but more difficult than searching the CVL event.

There’s has been somewhere around 3,500 in the entire state of IL that were hospitalized since they started counting and probably most already released. They won’t report that. They say hospitals at nearing capacity. But they don’t tell you it’s for appendectomies, gall stones, various essential procedures including gunshots and stabbing. Hospitals have to be at capacity. They make their money that way. Hotels fail when they’re at low capacity, it’s why they became guaranteed bailout paid contracted pop up hospitals.
It’s not a matter of why folks are dropping like flies, if it’s not disparities in crime, violence, street stops, or arrests it’s going to be whatever the current national trend is. There’s no interest in dots on maps unless it can be used to blame someone else.
If the crooked corrupt politicians can show disparities they have a pandering political reason to spend more.

The local media in this town is the most hypocritical and corrupt media possibly anywhere in the country. Just take a look at the Chicago tribune website. 21 shot and 7 fatalities, all in the usual communities, and not one mention of it until the very bottom of the page and with no mention of the fatalities. Nothing about how these shootings are complicating Healthcare at local hospitals dealing with the covid outbreak. Not one mention of the fact that these people are not adhering to shelter in place. Not one mention of it by the mayors office. That will all be politically inconvenient now wouldn't it.
