Anyone know why the media is always trolling us for stories. It's like they've completely lost the ability to do actual research into items that might interest the public, so they steal them (uncredited) from anywhere else.
If our Stat Guy didn't compile the numbers, Gorner probably wouldn't have a paycheck this week.

Always read the top text of a story, Especially Date. Search engine the "reporters". You will find 15 dollar an hour "contract reporters" delivering a discombobulated presentation of what could have been a news report.
If one continues to believe the "Sun Times", the "Tribune", various TV stations present the "News" for your critical contemplation: Please send a meaningful wallet donation to the Chaplains.

The journalists today are not only corrupt and controlled by their handlers, they are mindless, and they don’t know how to think or come up with ideas of their own. What a sad commentary on a dying industry.
BTW, they do the same thing to CWB regularly. They steal CWB’s stories and publish them as if they have a breaking scoop of their own.

The media is constantly rehashing your stories because the wise Chicagoan has realized that our Chicago ‘news’ outlets are nothing but lies. I stopped watching/reading the Chicago news and don’t miss a thing. It’s all ‘peaceful’ protesters, bad police, hate crime story of the day, the gimme/gimme:gimme crowd, citizens shot in the hood, Groot lying about this or that, clowning etc. Avoid our local ‘news’ and you’ll feel so much better.

Many years ago I used to file stories for CNB; back then CNB had people at 26th & Cal continually, as well as numerous police reporters. People today really have no idea how far the legacy press has fallen. The Sun-Times probably employs as many reporters in its entire sad little operation as CNB had in one shift at the criminal courts. It's only blogs like yours that do real reporting nowadays. Don't go away!

The number of carjackings has been higher in Chicago but when you add in numbers from suburban crook county and collar counties they are off the charts. Frankfort,Tinley,Homer Glenn and yes dare I say Naperville! Starting to think that Fox ,Pritzker and Larry are working for the Indiana and Wisconsin chambers of commerce.
Hey SCC can you do a write up on a young dude from the Trumbull Homes in 004 that finally got his wings clipped? He has escaped just about every police jurisdiction in the Chicagoland area leading to numerous chases throughout the city and south suburbs. Well it seems he shot himself accidentally and is now in custody. Could be a poster boy for what this city has ailing us besides P.O. Donald that is
