Even BETTER SWAT Policy

If the bad guy doesn't come out, just leave:

  • Aurora police had their man cornered. On Sept. 24 they responded to a home in the Conservatory neighborhood for what they described as a “felony child abuse investigation.” They said the homeowner, Eric Burns, 39, “had a valid misdemeanor no bond DV (domestic violence) warrant out of Denver.” Additionally, APD believed Burns had assaulted his son and abused his daughter. The SWAT team was called and trained their weapons on the house.

“It was scary,” said neighbor Jasmine Staats who watched the standoff unfold from her home on the next block. SWAT team members were on scene for hours, negotiating with Burns to surrender. They believed there were guns in the house and that he was armed.

After several hours, Burns released his 6-year-old daughter. Police negotiators continued trying to coax Burns to give himself up. But when that didn’t happen, after about four hours, an internal Aurora police report says “Decision made to vacate.” Dozens of officers, negotiators and command officers packed up and left Burns in his home.

The neighbors were reportedly "shocked:"

  • “We were pretty shocked,” said Staats, “We thought for sure they would have arrested someone. It’s quite concerning they would do that.”

“If someone’s got a warrant out for their arrest, why wouldn’t they have been arrested?” asked Staats.

Why would you think that? Unless you're a total moron, are demented, and have been living under a rock.

We'll just throw out a name at random - Jacob Blake - who had a warrant. Was he supposed to be arrested? Because everything we've seen for months now is he should have been allowed to leave, despite a Court Order - signed by a judge - that he was to be taken into custody.

So now Colorado residents are shocked the police didn't do anything? Make up your fucking minds and then stick with it.

You're confused. Jacob Blake was supposed to be allowed to arm himself, attack officers, and then leave.

People need to read Heather MacDonald's book... The war on Cops. It was written about 4 years ago and it's still true today, but worse.

Basically it's your (you the citizen/voter) fault. You put your head in the sand and wished all the bad things away instead of voting for Conservatives.

Some civilians asked me; "when all this chaos would stop." I retorted; "this will stop when enough evil people create more victims." They seemed shocked by my response... People are so safe in their spaces that they have never experienced real evil. Well guess what assholes... The Dems are letting the evil out of prison, especially NYPD cop killing black panthers who never once apologized about murdering a cop with his own gun after he ran out of his own bullets.

More senseless killings, robberies, beat downs, and rapes will make people remember that people earn their place in Hell and prison. Life is about decisions even when we have limited choices. We may not have almighty power but we individual power to choose how we live our lives. There is always a choice.

God bless this blog and fellow cops for doing God's work.

He's got that black privilege card. He can do almost anything he wants and be excused because he's an oppressed person of color. Don't you white fools try this, you might end up dead. No one will riot for you. We are really in dangerous, uncharted territory here. It's worse than when the Klan was clowning down south and they just got a wink and a nod. At least some people were outraged, now, if you're outraged, you must be a narrow minded racist.

Same thing with that idiot in Atlanta who fought with the cops and ended up dead. The smart people were saying that he offered to “walk home” and they should’ve allowed it. Well if that’s the case, l’ll start drinking again because if l get caught l can just call an Uber, save myself about $10,000, and won’t risk losing my job.

wow - bad policy - this made it worse for every swat incident in the future - but that's what America wants I guess - if a swat officer had been forced to shoot and kill this guy ---

That is the exact tactic that should be used for every call on the south and west side of Chicago. The second police sense that a call cannot progress any further without escalating use of force tactics, leave.

Yo baby daddy come ova and broke all yo stuff and you want him out of here? Well, he said he's not leaving, so we're not going to force him. Goodbye! 👋

One of the 150 requests on the new Misuse of Force request from the working group was no more handcuffs, they are a sign of slavery ie shackles, when asked how are we supposed to restrain arrestees, they answered your not to restrain anyone! No more restraining, no arresting, if someone commits a crime, even the most heinous acts possible, they are innocent until proven guilty and should be issued a summons and sent on their way, what if they don’t appear they were asked, then ask a judge to issue an arrest warrant, what if we need to question or interrogate the person to gather probable cause, no more interrogations or questioning ever, it reminds blacks of Burge, they said. If someone needs to be questioned it should be done in the open, on the stand, in a court of law! How are you supposed to question someone, on trial, while they are on the stand, to gather probable cause for arrest? That’s ya’all’s problem!

This is what they want society to be

This is so ridiculous and outrageous you almost have to just shake your head and laugh. Watch it burn. Can you imagine what the shitbird was thinking. He’s barricaded in a home, surrounded by SWAT, knowing he’s either going to prison or he’s going to fight and end up dead in a shoot out. The thoughts racing through his head, sweating, nervous, not wanting to go back to prison for years so maybe it’s better to just go down in a shootout. And then he’s thinking maybe he’ll just kill himself and then, wait, what’s that? huh? He looks out the window and sees the police just packing their shit and leaving. He’s so confused, just staring out the window in shock but relieved as well, maybe he will get some breakfast.

failure to enforce a mandatory arrest for order violation or DV gets the cops sued when bad guys walks and hurts someone , mandatory arrest is less liability for police. This walking away makes no sense to me

I'm sure those officers were aware that Colorado, in June of this year, was the first state to abolish qualified immunity for police, against civil law suits. The Democrats in the U.S. Congress are trying to do the same.

Put house under discreet Surveillance. When Suspect steps outside, make Arrest. This is NOT complicated.
