Yesterday evening, Apple undertook a massive operation to deplatform alternative media sites for anyone using Apple devices:
Twitter and Facebook are banning any discussion....simply discussions....about election fraud. They're coming for anyone with an alternative viewpoint, even as a discussion. Google App Store has also deplatformed right leaning app Parler.
We imagine everyone saw the speeches yesterday? All outrage and "insurrection" and traitors and other inflammatory language? Does anyone know what the actual dollar amount of damage that was caused?
A few thousand dollars. Total.
But dems and lefties are talking like there was another Federal courthouse burned in Portland, a building leveled by a truck bomb in Oklahoma City, maybe some airliners crashed into New York skyscrapers. Almost like their scripts were written for an incident that never lived up to expectations.
And this video showing Capitol Hill Police opening a side door for "protestors"?
Another link to see it. Pause the video at 26 seconds - there are at least four officers (two without masks!) standing in the side hallway who made zero effort to block or restrict the "invaders."
Officers of all people should be seeing this video and asking, "What the actual fuck?" CPD just went through the worst rioting in a generation, and we pointed out time and time again, the failure of leadership to take the simplest precautions and measures to blunt the worst of it.
Better view that video before it gets taken down.

I appreciate your view, and yes, they were “outnumbered.”
However, they were “outnumbered” by actually peaceful protestors.
I had the good fortune to be able to watch both the rally and the ensuing nonsense, from a couple different feeds.
The amount of police present was nowhere near outnumbered by the jags actually doing the bullshit. In that case, the assholes were outnumbered by a factor of 10:1(police to asshole).
The bad actors in this debacle have had all summer to practice and perfect their craft, and that they did. This event was to be the payoff. Their own Reichstag Fire to exploit. Thankfully, cooler heads prevailed and it didn’t burn anywhere near brightly enough.

If Google wants to be a bag of dicks, Parler should just offer their APK file for direct download outside of Google's app store. Remember kids, if you're running Android you are not actually shackled to Google's services, they just want you to think they are. And if you're extra paranoid, there's always custom operating system ROMs but you'd better know what you're doing before attempting that.

Yes, Big Tech is NOT the government proper but they are a public access platform for supposedly anyone only to then reveal dual sets of rules and unfair enforcement to anyone who has politics the company owner does not like. That is just fraud.

Trump is correct that WITHOUT GOVERNMENT PROTECTION per Section 230 these companies would be sued out of existence. Such suits would not be over what their uses say but over the fraud and discrimination which Big Tech directly engages in only to claim immunity via the broken laws.
Section 230 was a 1999 relic long before social media. It needs to be done away with or updated. Of course one cannot do illegal conduct online and get away with it. However what is illegal is set by state and federal law, not some punk in a Silicon Valley cubical.

Many or most have a Gmail account and a youtube account. Can't really fault people for that. Remember back in the day what choices you had for an email provider. I never sign into youtube to watch but I wasn't always so smart. I used to like to comment on music and old TV shows but not anymore. Google has gotten very ugly. Thinking people wish for a good alternative to youtube, but they killed off everyone that was tried. Others have never caught on and still always sign in. Yes they track you everywhere, they all do if you let them. Fakebook has always been about showing off in one way or another. While one can expect kids to do such things sadly it's the adolescent-adults that are responsible for much of the stupidity. Now that older people have taken over flakebook the kids moved on to Instagram and that wretched Snap Chat and TicToc. Tweeting every move you make like someone really cares, these people need attention and perhaps a shrink too. The dumbest are the ones that must have those gadgets like Amazon's Alexa. They really know what you are doing 24/7.
