$600 Million Cut Proposed
With demands for police at all time highs, the communists in the City Council propose this:
- The Police Department would see its budget cut by hundreds of millions of dollars under new changes to the Civilian Police Accountability Council ordinance.
The proposed ordinance, known as CPAC, would create a police oversight board of elected civilians. Now, its advocates are saying it would also include a provision that would cap the Police Department budget, cutting hundreds of millions from its spending plan.
The changes to CPAC were detailed during a Tuesday meeting of the City Council’s Committee on Public Safety. Co-sponsors of a rival police oversight plan — the Grassroots Alliance for Police Accountability, or GAPA — also outlined changes to their proposed ordinance.
Groot claims to be against both the CPAC and GAPA proposals, but that probably means that she'll take a little bit from Column A and a little bit from Column B, sprinkle in some other "progressive" bullshit to come up with some Frankenstein plan that cuts more positions and slows hiring to a crawl in a soft "defunding" effort and gives her something to campaign on.

The City has chopped essential services and increased certain budgets for 2021. The Library for one, got a raise of $30 mil ...And 2/3’s of libraries are still CLOSED. The CoverUp Law Dept seen $, Planning and Development $20 mil more, Police Noard has a $564 k budget for 2 employees but last year they had paid $1mil for the say work (huh]. Inspectors General seen $1 mil deducted and that was pre-Larri coverup. Let’M All Go Dept of Administrative Hearings (ANOV’s) still has a $7.7 mil budget and who knows how much they’ve collected since Larri took over.
$600 million is a lot of coin to cut from CPD that had $100 mil cut from this fiscal yeat and Larri already doled it out to existing heavily saturated freeloader and preferred donor organgrinder organizations. $considering COPA has a $13 million annual budget already...about the same as the Office of Mayor with far less employees. And mind you, ALL Budget Appropriations are mostly to pay the personnel(wages) and not actual services. With the current COPA and Police Board be eliminated? Larri’s mixtape GAPA-CPAC frankensteins will need over/under sight.
Oh,yeah, thenstruggling economic engine known as O’Hare is in dire straits to continue the $9 Billion terminal rebuild. But Larri has been secretly crafting concession deals (no-bid) before addressing the construction revenue deficit, ignoring the obvious but putting together lucrative concession deals for her benefit, even though Democrats created this O’Hare slowdown by shutting down all travel. My guess there’s no money in retaining downtown concessions like Water Tower, Macy’s, Gap, etc.
Never forget, Larri LightLoafers squandered almost $500 million in Covid’s Relief money in a matter of 3-4 months. And so far with just 11 more months left in 2021, the city is losing downtown retailing, still operating under the $1.Billion deficit. Will 26 greedy AlderThieves allow for more misappropriation? Cutbacks will be no problem, people are bailing left and right with nowhere near the time or age. I’m 31 with 8 years on and a brand new baby and after multiple lawsuits already I’m done. Last summer taking a brick to the head, catching the offender who was released and THEN getting a beef was final straw.
