2021 Looking Better Already
Father Michael Pfleger, the longtime pastor at St. Sabina Church and one of the most prominent priests in Chicago, has been removed from the Auburn Gresham parish following revelations of a decades-old sexual abuse allegation against a minor.
Cardinal Blase Cupich announced “the difficult news” in a letter to the St. Sabina community Tuesday, saying he has “asked Father Pfleger to step aside from ministry following receipt by the Archdiocese of Chicago’s Office for Child Abuse Investigations and Review of an allegation of sexual abuse of a minor more than 40 years ago.”
Cupich said Pfleger agreed to his request and will live away from the parish during the course of the archdiocese’s investigation. The allegation has also been reported to the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services and the Cook County state’s attorney’s office, Cupich said.
Pfleger, 71, did not immediately respond to a request for comment Tuesday evening.

As much as I think Father can be an ass, I am so sick and tired of these “allegations” after four decades. The bottom line is always the payout for the lawyers and someone who makes the accusation. I have no idea how you substantiate an accusation like this (from four decades ago) and collaborate it with evidence. It’s impossible unless a priest acknowledges the abuse or there is a litany of reporting four decades ago that just got swept under the rug. Hence, in aggregate, you have circumstantial evidence. I can understand serial predictors that you can substantiate with many victims. But how do you substantiate one?
I just get leery because it always seems someone wants to make an easy buck. I was an altar boy for 10 years and never ever ever ever had a priest act sexual, weird or bizarre to me. I used to go to pilgrimages and all kinds of church functions and the priests where always the most pius and faithful people I have ever met. They truly believed in God, doing good for others and an afterlife. I don’t mind the Father Faker wisecracks because he asks for them, but I am always hesitant about these accusations.
Just tired of ghetto NFL, MLB, NBA being idolized all the time while people beat down on the church all the time. Most of those doing the beat downs are asses who never stepped in a church. I usually listen to WLS 890 am for the purpose of hearing the Rush Limbaugh, Ben Sharpio and Mark Levin shows. They are not local but national conserative shows and everyone knows that. But during the break they do the local news and it seems they add some anti police flavor to the news.
So you have probably heard that the Kenosha, Wisc. Prosecuter’s Office announced that they have reviewed the case of a Kenosha police officer who responded to a domestic call where the police officer shot a man named Jacob Blake. Blake was in a domestic fight with his (ex?) girlfriend, he had taken her car keys and was wanted for an active wrt. for sex assault, dis. cond., and domestic abuse.
When the police arrived they had to fight him, he put one PO in a headlock, they tried tasing him he then tried to get into the girlfriends car in which there were 3 children inside. An independent witness related the police were telling him to drop the knife. When he didn't he was shot.
As you may know the police officer was white and Jacob Blake is black as well as the others. Their races have no bearing on this case. Nothing was ever said or shown to indicate that it was. But that didn't stop the news media, the race baiters, the politicians and ignorant people to throw gasoline on this. They then trashed the police officer and made Jacob Blake a hero and a saint. There was rioting, looting and fires for days. Even Joe Biden and Kamala Harris went there and met personally with Blake’s family and spoke to Blake himself over the phone. They did not do this for the police officer. Curious, isn't it!
So today a local WLS news person by the name of John Dempsey reported numerous times during the day that the WHITE COP who shot Jacob Blake was not going to be charged. The WHITE COP? Why is Dempsey referring to the WHITE COP? What can he show that the officer’s race had anything to do with this incident. Dempsey later in the day referred to Blake as an African American man. He did not call him that Black guy. If you listen to WLS radio or TV you will start to notice these little nuances. Dempsey, WLS and the rest of the people who have fanned the flames and destroyed a police officer’s life should be ashamed but we know they won’t be. They have elevated and venerated the now Saint Jacob of Blake.
Im sorry for the victim but hopes the victim will prosecute to the fullest extent of the law...which in cook county is a week behind bars with a free pizza day.

Im in Michigan on vacation, the news media said nothing of the rape, battery charges or the arrest warrant the OFFENDER was wanted for.....Nothing about the resisting arrest or assault of the officers on the scene who were VICTIMS. He was a good man, a good father, and a good husband. He was the most approachable person I have ever met. He was the kind of guy that you wanted family/wife advice from. I can't dig for it now, but I recall that a pastor's term limit at a parish was six years, after which there would be a review and reassignment, with exceptions made only for very unusual circumstances - disaster and no one else was available, something like that.
The policy was intended to prevent the development of exactly the sort of "cult of personality" we have seen for so long here.
