The Chicago Police Department may have another vacancy to fill after an expletive-spewing recruit walked out of the academy Monday when a sergeant fetched a breathalyzer to test his sobriety, according to a CPD memo shared with CWBChicago.
“F*** you BRO!” the plebe told a sergeant repeatedly as he “rapidly walked away” from the training center, 1300 West Jackson, around 6:50 a.m.
In a so-called “To/From” memo about the incident, a sergeant wrote that he was welcoming a new recruit class outside the Timothy J. O’Connor Training Center when he saw the recruit “wearing a suit, carrying a black duffle bag heading toward the front entrance doors.”
“The individual was swaying to his left and then to his right as he approached the front doors, the individual was losing his balance and footing, making his walking choppy and uneven,” the report said.
Of course, with the ongoing shortages, maybe the mayor and acting-supernintendo will go to his house, knock on the door, ask him to come back to the Academy and even provide him a ride.
Or maybe not.

The spanking monkey recruit is a different recruit.
Lightfoot and the aldermen chased all the great veteran cops into retirement that never embarrassed the city, cost the city money(civil litigation), got bad beefs, etc. These officers worked smart. Obviously these officers were doing something right to survive 20+ years going to countless 911 calls nonstop, making thousands of arrests(some cops), in such a violent and politically hostile environment. Oh, did I forget??? Corrupt politically to the core environment. Any unconnected cop that was able to survive this should be commended. But no. They’d rather chase them out and replace them with poorly vetted, unproven, immature, and having no business being the police, cops. This is now being done in desperation to fill the Grand Canyon sized manpower hole thanks to Chicago politicians. Now how much money will Chicago politicians cost the tax payers over this mess they created? How much embarrassment and civil litigation will replacing smart veteran cops with dumb young thug cops? Now it’s too late. You will never get thousands of great cops back.

This is what the department is attracting? This job used to be an honorable profession with men and women that flocked in the tens of thousands to take the test to become a Chicago Police Officer. Would this be frowned upon? I’m just sick of doing it in the staff bathroom and need a change of scenery. Plus, the tranny bathroom is cleaner and more serene, which helps me to focus.

My wife's been teaching 5th grade for summer school. She's teaching 35 years...since college. The 5th graders are out of control. Phones, cursing, fighting each other. One kid wore his hooded sweatshirt the other day on his head. Said it's his culture and you can't remove it. The other day one comes off the bus with handcuffs on. He won't say which kids did it...can't blame him. They had to get the sheriffs dept involved. We're talking ten year olds here. There is no qualified pipeline any longer.
I can't believe how low the standards have gotten with the CPD ~ and when I get the FOP magazine, I am shocked at the officers with tattoos up & down their arms and the women with long hair and nails, etc. They look horrible and so unprofessional and sloppy~what a shame what the CPD has become now.

I was a supervisor on CPD for over 21 yrs. I can assure you if you thought you were going to bitch at me and have nothing happen you would have another thing coming! There is no way this would be ignored. At the very least you and I would "have a talk" in the parking lot!.

Was talking to an instructor and after telling her that with crime high why are we not seeing traffic stops? Her reply “they are taught not to stop vehicles because they are scared!” Wtf this is what is being hired? It's not every recruit. Some actually are there to do the work. They won't be able to because of the progressive handcuffs, but some are want to help. Just like most of the commenters here did when they started.
I remember one old West side SGT, I'll call SGT Jackson, we had up at old Belmont. Another SGT went to take a leak in the locker room and as he sidled up to the urinal he saw SGT Jackson at another urinal. So this SGT, I'll call SGT Stosh, starts pissing when he can't help but notice SGT Jackson making a rocking motion in the stall a few down.
So Stosh can't help but look and he see's SGT Jackson spanking his dolphin for all its worth, eyes closed, and muttering sweet nothings to the pisser in front of him. Eventually Jackson notices he's not alone and he say's to Stosh, "Damn Stosh didn't see you standing there" "I was just thinking about that fine white pussy and couldn't help myself". Stosh ran out of the bathroom like his ass was on fire.

The academy went back to the "old school" teaching method due do to the multiple complaints. The new class actually has some stellar recruits. The dude running away from the Sgt probably would have been thrown out anyway
