State Corruption
So who did he piss off over the years with the ability to garner an actual federal indictment for corruption? Madigan trial continues with motions:
Former House Speaker Michael Madigan’s attempt to suppress the dozens of wiretapped calls and secret recordings that form the backbone of the government’s bombshell racketeering case is a “flimsy effort to create an air of impropriety where none exists,” federal prosecutors said in a motion Tuesday.
The 152-page filing also ripped defense claims that the indictment fails to connect any benefits Madigan allegedly received from utility giants Commonwealth Edison and AT&T Illinois to any action the powerful speaker took — or didn’t — on particular legislation.
"Your honor, you must suppress these videos and wiretaps - they make me look too guilty."
Illinois corruption centered around this a$$hole's office for decades and no one did a thing about it. Now the goal is to play defense and run out the clock until Madigan dies and takes all his secrets to the grave.

Fuck him. This guy operated for years serving his own interests while public policy in the interest of the people was tossed to the winds. And he walked around like the prince of darkness. You stayed too long Mike. Couldn’t let the power go. Now the G got you.

Obama hated the white, Irish, Catholic leadership of the Democrat party in Chicago. This is probably payback for The Machine initially backing Dan Hynes for senate in ‘04.
You can thank Daley for all of this. Remember it was Valerie Jarrett who gave Michelle the city job and the connection that gave Barack his first opportunities in politics.

Funny how the federal wiretap on Blago was yanked after learning that investigation would take them all the way to the White House. People are stupid. Gov. Fat Ass was caught on a federal wiretap colluding for a government position and recorded calling Jesse White a well respected black veteran “ One of the good ones”. And black people continue to support this thief.
Keep in mind he’s a life long democrat and most likely knows about a lot of corruption in Washington. The democrat party controls the DOJ and probably has its fingers on many judges. Why is this taking so long??? And same with Ed Burke??? Slow walking everything when it’s a democrat. But for Trump they suddenly want to do it in warp speed.
Downstate journalism conveniently ignores any mention of Rep. Jehan Gordon-Booth (D-Peoria), who used to brag about being Madigan's Deputy Speaker and all the great things he was doing. Jehan posts nothing about Madigan since the indictments started rolling in. Hopefully, she is somewhere on those recorded conversations.
I retired, and moved away and while SCC was out of Business, I lost touch here...Madigan is still alive and still awaiting trial???
Madigan gave hundreds of soldiers jobs from so many exempts to fire and private industries plus made them judges! He owns this state and the man still comes into his office everyday to take care of business!
The law of averages, with its cohort Karma, have an uncanny way of prevailing in the end. Mikey should’ve quit rolling them dice well before he entered a fifth decade of corruption. Slipping up was inevitable, just a matter of when. But as they say, pigs get fat and hogs get slaughtered.
You’ve been at the trough well past your expiration date and you just crapped out, Mike. Start singing and give up all the players. You won’t be in prison too long before you check out.
Bob Cooley, who was a patrolman on the CPD, became an attorney for the mob. Messily involved in mob cases and was very tight with the 1st Ward politicians who basically controlled state, county and the city. Cooley became a undercover mole for the FBI and wore a wire for an extended time which resulted in the demise of lots of politicians,judges, lawyers, sheriff court deputies and a couple of corrupt Chicago cops. Think of him as you may but there is a podcast that is very, very interesting revealing the extent of the corruption. The podcast by Neal Edelstein is called the Cooley Account, find it by an internet search and have a listen, amazing how the mob ran the state, corruption rampant.
Same thing with Burke. Worth millions and shaking down for years. They can't help their selves. Its like their goal everyday to come up with a scheme to shake someone down. Just to stupid to quit. Both of them will pass away before they hit the joint. When do the doctors step into this. I'm sure that's in the works now waiting for the right moment.
Pay back for Daughter Lisa's Campaign to Get the Consent Decree Rolling and then
her suspect, retirement shortly after! Maybe she was on those Fed Tapes and cut a deal!

I think soldiers you mean political people that got jobs but your right they are called political soldiers doing what they are told to get the vote!

This guys been in politics since I was in first grade, and I retired the same time he did. I can only hope that he gets some time in club Fed before his upcoming dirt nap. Eff him, and all his suck ups.

I can still remember when Lisa first ran for Office. The FOP told us that if she won, we would retire with up to 80% on our pensions., so we supported her. Then there was the talk, that Obama called her to interview for Attorney General; now where is Lisa? Wouldn’t this be a good time to help Dad with his legal Problems? Amazing how Lisa Madigan just disappeared!
