Funeral Home Shooting
Weren't we just talking about a shooting at a funeral home where the corpse was catching rounds? Here's the radio traffic from the shooting at Leak Funeral Home the other day:
And what happened inside the funeral home?
A person who was inside the funeral spoke to CBS 2 [...] off-camera and said a man wearing a black backpack and black hoodie walked into the funeral, and people inside started to duck under the pews. Some recognized him as a gang member. The man went to the casket and took pictures of Johnson, then left.
The witness said the man went to a car, then pulled in front of the funeral home and started shooting back at the man in the car.
Well done refraining from abusing the corpse!

Some years ago in a northside district a gangbanger, who died of a rapid dose of lead in his system, was laid out in the casket. The next of kin was the the present squeeze receiving the mourners. All was going fine until previous squeeze arrived and put his and her’s infant into the casket to say bye bye to da da. The wake turned into a riot. The funeral home had to close down for the night.
They are so very entertaining, aren't they?
The boss just needed confirmation of a job well done. What better than pictures during the punks funeral. Oh, and the bookbag? Well, I carried my textbooks for my PhD along with my Tech-9 companion.

……….Sgt test question 30 plus years ago or more. Criminal damage to property. This was quite common back in the day. They would break in at night and steal the body and drag it around.
I've attended many Irish funerals in my time and the only disagreements that occurred is where folks were going to go to have a pint or two in memory of the deceased (and who was buying).

Sounds like a similar incident that happened some 40yrs ago, Shakespeare District at Anderson Funeral Home.
Totally nornal, everyone grieves differently.
It must be a ritual of death that we here in the US are not accustomed to. My favorite funeral home was Gaitlings, you had the drive up window to view the deceased, you could rent a video, buy flowers and get ure taxes done, all when at the visitation.
I witnessed first hand a custom of the People, when a mourner wanted a keep sake from the departed and cut off an ear.
The ear was found later on a garage roof.
It reminded me of the good times I had in Nam.
