Officers Injured
Two Chicago police officers were among four people hospitalized when a driver blew a stop sign early Saturday in West Lawn on the South Side, according to police.
The crash happened about 2:15 a.m. in the 6300 block of South Kildare when a black sedan ran a stop sign and hit a patrol car responding to a call of service with its lights and siren activated, a witness told police.
The two officers were taken to a hospital with unspecified injuries and were listed in fair condition, officials said.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Hope the shitheads driving the speeding car dont get a ticket. That would be racist. Targeting blackfolk and all. Better call the Slum Times.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Seconded.
I hope they will be 100%. Get back to 100% and take as much medical as needed. If needed return to work as a light duty officer. I’ll say a prayer for the two of you. I know many officers who were never the same even from a low impact traffic crash. So sad!
Get well soon in this lawless city!
I remember when that was a decent neighborhood.
Stay light duty for the rest of your career and you'll be fine.
Congrats, looks like you 2 will have the winter off, see you next spring and take your time coming back
West Lawn used to be a safe neighborhood.
It's not medical they will be on, its IOD, the accident happened on duty. Speedy recovery to the officers and enjoy the free money!!!
Stop Signs are racist!
Speedy recovery to the officers involved. Take your time coming back!
Heal quickly but not to quickly.
Sadly officers have to be hurt while just going about their workday. Hopefully a speedy & 100% recovery to the officers. The mutts who ran the stop sign ran 20 before & stop lights, driving on shoulders, driving the wrong way down a one way street etc. the city is so F-ing dangerous & here is another reason. No one cares about losing their license because I’m sure most of these scofflaws don’t have one. Let’s not even start about insurance. I’m sorry to say this but I’m sure more officers will be hurt just driving in this shithole. As always get better & go home EOW!! Just like you started watch!
Prayers go out to the officers . Speedy recovery. The department will still find a way to hammer these guys and make the accident avoidable.Driving safe boys and girls. L.G.B.!
One Day, and maybe soon, we will see Railroad Crossing style Gates at intersections in Chicago. As some say: “ If it saves the life of one single Member of the Community”.

Since you’re so keen on making corrections, allow me to school YOU, kid.
When it’s an IOD, it should NEVER be a speedy recovery. Rather it should be a COMPLETE recovery. This purpose is twofold: (1) the longer it takes to make a complete recovery = more tax free income and (2) more time away from this shit job.
If you’re gonna try and pretend you’ve been around a bit and spout ‘knowledge’, arm yourself with some before you type.
You’re welcome.
Sadly, you officers live the crap on the TV/Radio news.
I haven't watched, nor listened to TV/Radio news in years. "The Covid numbers today"
after 4 years of "Russian Disinformation" did it.
The REAL news which officers see daily is damn near as bad as anything in Vietnam or Iraq/Iran. I do not know too, with fellow officers being shot/killed, how you can handle it...and I am serious.

And in true form, the witness lies to the media and says the dog didn't bite anyone. So the dog bites were faked? Give me a break.

Wishing a “just the right amount of time for a complete recovery” to the 2 officers!
Everyone has become so much more miserable, which I completely understand.
But way more hate towards each other! It used to be only controversial comments that drew ridicule.
Now you can’t even say “get well soon”.
Oh well. I’ll get ready to be told to go fist myself for pointing out the obvious.
Just please don’t call me an “asshat”.
09:02 am......please let me school you further. When you are “Injured on Duty” or IOD, and you are off work because of that injury, you are in fact “ON THE MEDICAL”.
School’s out. Enjoy your time off!

The context of the topic as discussed in the comments you’re referencing completely escaped you. I hope you’re not a detective trying to solve crimes or supervisor making command decisions.
Dumbass.
08:15:00. Hey Dumass. I didn’t miss anything and nothing escaped me either. You obviously are the one who missed the reference. And as for solving crimes, let’s just say words have meanings and those meanings could lead to acquittal! I’m sure that would go over your head as well… Dumass
