Coming Soon!

Fatass has to be so jealous, being behind on a stupid idea like this:

  • NEW YORK — Gov. Kathy Hochul on Thursday signed into law a plan to seal the criminal records of more than 2 million New Yorkers who have served their time, hailing the measure as a “victory for common sense and moral decency.”

The final approval of the Clean Slate Act, which was endorsed by criminal justice advocates and business interests but opposed by Republicans, came after a yearslong legislative effort that culminated in the bill’s passage in June.

Hochul suggested the measure would accomplish twin goals: making New York safer by taking people off the streets, and addressing a worker shortage by clearing away a roadblock to New Yorkers’ employment prospects.

There were a few correct thinking additions to this Law:

  • Under the act’s provisions, murder convictions and most other Class A felonies are not eligible to be sealed, and felons will need to be at least eight years removed from the end of their sentences to have their records shielded.

Misdemeanor convictions are to be eligible to be sealed three years after the end of a sentence. Records would generally be sealed from the view of potential employers, but not law enforcement.

But once again, the democrats willingness to prioritize the criminal over the law abiding is front and center. You can bet Illinois dems will look to seal even those felonies from public knowledge.

So.

If application for employment includes question on having ever been convicted, the applicant can now choose to lie?

With the presumption that before, the threat of being caught lying was the prime motivator to not lie?

Or does tjis prohibit employers from asking the question.

Or modifyi g the question to conform to the futility of getting an honest answer, now minus the possibilty of being caught lying?

And how is there to be not blanket suspicion upon all new employees?

And will these new rules be valid for any law enforcement hires?

How about political hires?

Arrest Fingerprint Cards ( Arrest Red printing,Applicant Blue, Personal Identification Green) submitted to the Bureau remain in Bureau custody FOREVER, and are accessible to Federal/State/ Local Agencies. Is this still correct? If so, this stupidity and appeasement by NY State will have limited effect.

Business interests are not advocating this. Do you think felons will follow work rules after doing 8 years for murder. Nope, not gonna happen.

I find it very hard to believe that business leaders wanted this law. If a business is having a hard time finding employees and is willing to expand their recruitment pool by including convicted felons, it is their prerogative to do so. Those employees can’t be bonded by their insurance, but if the business owner wants to take that risk, then they can do so. But at least they can do a criminal background check and know who they’re getting. To prevent business owners from doing so is crazy!

Every man is created equal but then chooses different paths to no longer be equal.

Democrat/Communist/Elites want everyone else to interact as equals even though it is obvious that they are no longer equal—————-

OT~ A two state solution is proposed for Israel and Palestine..

When is the two state solution proposed for America?

Mississippi River is the logical division line.

Just imagine the greatness of the law and order side with Trump as the leader.

The other side with Hakin Jeffries as the leader is also great in a different way. Great weed, great tents, great diversity, and great bicycle lanes, etc.

NY State Gov. Kathy Hochul and NYC Mayor Adams have dethroned Gov Jabba da Hutt and BJ Poodle aa the dumbest governor and equally dumbest mayor of one of the largest declining cities in the nation. Congratulations to the Empire State on your well-deserved stupidity.

Illinois, the Debtor State however, will not be denied. Rest assured that Porky and the dullard mayor will make a run for the top spot soon. Greater corruption and stupidity cannot be denied to the Debtor State. Porky and the Dullard will see to that.

But complaints on a police officer even thou unfounded, not sustained, justified often made by unknown persons who can just pick up a phone and make any allegation stays with the officer for ever even after he is retired or dead can be shared by and news media and any progressive anti police organization.

What a ridiculous, pandering bag of shit.
Federal law already prohibits 'normal' employers from looking at anything older than 7 years and nothing prevents government employers (of ANY level or flavor) from seeing everything to the day you were born.

Example:
The company I work for has a lot of contracts with casinos on the res.
One of our guys was barred from working those gigs because the tribe found a felony conviction from 1976.

This is so true. These liberal left wing fukers are forever assisting the criminal element but never the us cops who protect them.

Reason number 232 why I left the blue state of Illinois for a red state

But, register your weapons, and when SCOTUS says the law is unconstitutional. I will bet that those records don't get sealed. They will have your information and they will come again to get them and you will be first.
