And they gave away expired gift cards for guns in conjunction with the 006 District CAPS Office?
Seems like an actionable case of fraud.

Anything associated with fr flacker should be considered fraud! I saw him years ago driving a black cadillac escalade at 18th and Ruble st, he was reaching out the drivers side window passing out $100 bills to the tent encapment people. I have no issue with him passing out money to be used to buy drugs. My issue is who does the cadillac excalade belong to? Does the catholic church pay priest that well?

It is 100% true. I turned in two old guns, got two sealed, official looking envelopes, and drove away. Much to my surprise, I discoverd the cards expired in Nov. 2023. Luckily I called the Visa customer service number and explained this to a very nice gentleman in New Delhi, India and he mailed out two new cards. But how many people are going to give their name and address like I did? Probably not many. In any case, I learned to never trust CPD or the Catholic Church.
An event like this should have cash…….

I can remember an idiot taking many gift cards from a display at a store and they were mad after they gave them away, complaining they didn’t work as recipients tried to buy things at various stores! The store told them they were invalid not activated!

Gift cards do not expire anymore. Unless they were activated, then they have 5 years. Why would they have been activated prior to giving them away?????

I had an old junk .32 cal revolver that I had in my stash of crap. Had the wife turn it in at a gun buy back several years ago. $100 Visa card was greatly appreciated, bought ammo.

Pfather Pfhony used to have a white Escalade - with vanity plates to boot (‘DA BLOOD’). He could regularly be found at Carmichael’s on Monroe after Sunday services with a whole gaggle of young black teenaged boys, feasting on prime steaks and seafood. Drinks were also abundantly flowing, too. Ain’t a doubt in my mind that Molester Mikey was plying these boys for sex. I took pix and sent one to SCC many moons ago.

Many gift cards never expire. The ones from Jewel & Costco don't. But the store or bank must activate them, just as they activate cards for more minutes on a pay by minutes burner phone.

The better question is the gun inventoried that went missing........desperate not just for numbers sounds like a gun was inventoried but when missing in transport back to 006. Good luck trying to cover this one up. It probably helps that if you are going to steal a turn in..... maybe you shouldn't leave the evidence in the hallway garbage can. We've got some smart cookies in 006.
How do these cities and churches get away with these BS gun buys? Especially in this day when the ATF is shutting down licensed gun dealers that have been in business for 30 or 40 years for a single minor clerical error.
Since the cities and churches are taking in the gun for consideration, aren't they considered 'in the business and trade`and require a FFL?
