Different Sort of Threat
A group of black Chicago residents rallied on the city’s South Side to warn City Hall and the City Council that they are organizing to defeat any official that supports Mayor Brandon Johnson’s fealty to sanctuary city policies and the continued spending of millions on illegal aliens, even to the extent of voting for Republicans over the Democrat Party.
Speakers warned the city’s aldermen that they will be targeted for removal and that blacks in the areas so badly impacted by the onslaught of border crossers flooding into the city would even begin voting for Republicans and independents to defeat Democrats who are so sold-out to the illegal alien lobby.
The trouble with this threat is that:
- "independents" are usually "progressive communists" as we've seen up north and over at the Brighton Park encampment;
- there aren't any republicans running for anything in Chicago except some obscure northside ward seats that hold zero power;
- the community is - unfortunately - a near-monolithic voting bloc and will vote for the next Machine candidate put forward to keep the hood in line.
Cracks may appear to be forming, but in deep blue shitholes, the cracks are plastered over with empty promises....like the reparation committee that will deliver zero dollars, but lots of greedy single-issue voters.

I’m not buying it. They have been voting for the same type of terrible Chicago politicians for decades. That’s why we’re in this mess. And you can bet they only voted for mayor BJ because they were told to and because he’s black. They’d vote for a pickle if the party told them to. Now we’re screwed. Thanks!

I agree with your points SCC. But they should be applauded for speaking out, no other “mute voters” across the city have. They are getting the idea that the Mayor is not doing things for the voters but for the Democrat Party. Not all Blacks are Democrat voters. The Democrats have used Blacks to further their agenda for years. There appears to be a small schism starting across the US between Black voters and the Democrat Party, hopefully it grows. And you are right nothing will change in Chicago because there is only one party. And we can blame all the apathetic voters in Chicago for settling for all the political corruption that exists here. Maybe that group could start the ball rolling by voting in a Republican President.
Johnson knows the playbook very well as did Emanuel, Daley and every other Ahole politician. You do the dirty work at the start of your administration because the electorate is stupid and short of memory.

Chicago has moved into a death spiral in the likes of Detroit. The city is truly falling apart. No media is really covering it but all the big money is leaving. The up coming summer will truly be a summer of crime. Crime will be the stake in the heart that kills the city. The bosses on the job are clueless to stop it. All of the Gold Stars couldn’t get a job doing anything else and earning that kind of money. Most people I run into are in the process of leaving. Only 2% of city residents are active or retired city workers. The rest of the 98% of the residents can do as they please. Chicago can add another star to the city flag for the historical collapse. All caused by politicians and incompetent leaders in every city department.

On a recent trip with one of these individuals we were traveling to an event on Chicago's north side which required a trip through Garfield park. This person will find an excuse for any Blue Idea. Repartitions, illegal aliens, No bail, discrimination under every rock. Although When traveling through Garfield Park they were very uncomfortable and kept mentioning isn't there any other way we can go repeatedly. Why are those people just standing around in the rain. The hypocrisy and panic they suffered was entertaining to say the least.

Why? What purpose does that serve? So ruin some of the few remaining relatively safe neighborhoods? Not everyone there is a city worker who can't leave the city. Chicago is built on lies, deception, and corruption. This is the lifeblood of the ruling class - Democratic Party and corporate thieves. The mayor(s), the current/past city councils and their long-time media whores have spun a whirlwind of a downward spiral for the city. Things will not change as its not in our DNA. We all sit on our big fat assess and complain constantly and do nothing - but complain more. No help from the Feds, they are too busy looking the other way for the Big Guy and going after the Orange Man Bad guy.
Doubtful the Black/Hispanic community will take their proposed action regarding the DNC. The real power they have has yet to be harnessed. It's their vote and more importantly, the ability to exercise their vote. Why would they vote for an old white guy, who is feeble minded, dazed/confused, stumbles/bumbles, creates proxy wars (where many of their own sons/daughters may be forced to fight/die needlessly), bankrupts the nation and is dependent on Jill the caretaker.
Even if he gets dumped, the next slug to step in his place will do the same - only with better sounding lies. The only way to exercise your vote and make it count, is to vote for a non-democratic candidate - up and down the entire slate. The Democrats, just like Joe, will soil their pants. For that you need intestinal fortitude, get payback for their previous lies and obtain the respect, taken for granted, they took from you.

I don’t agree with the first commenter’s statement as I don’t want my property devalued or an upsurge in crime. Yea, why would someone make a statement like that? But what I will say if it occurred I doubt that many people would protest it like some other areas of the city are doing. After looking at the voting stats for the northwest side why are so many people voting for Democrats. Locally there is no choice but a lot of high numbers for Dems in national elections. What is wrong with these people?
This whole problem is easy to solve. Send them to Highland Park - let them pitch tents on the old fairways for the Highland Park County Club on 41 and Park Ave West - the clubhouse/banquet hall is now a rec center w/showers, pools, sauna, lockers... food side - large parking lot, close to Target, Dunkin', Starbucks, and all that Highland Park has to offer!
Plus, they're guilty liberals and would love to help!
