How Much Security?
Fox 32 is reporting how the mayor of Dolton is using an excessive amount of cops on her security detail, not only for protection, but for running personal errands:
- The former police chief of south suburban Dolton
is speaking out for the first time about Mayor Tiffany Henyard’s
controversial police security detail, and how it affected his ability to
fight crime.
In 2023, a FOX 32 investigation showed how that security detail is taking officers off the street and costing taxpayers thousands of dollars in overtime.
"The manpower was just very stressed and critical. To the point of almost breaking," said former Dolton Police Chief Robert Collins. "Having officers on the detail, rather than having officers out patrolling the streets."
Sometimes, Henyard uses as many as three officers for public appearances, along with the ones she has running errands on the taxpayers' dimes for tens of thousands of dollars in overtime.
Anyone want to let Fox 32 know that at last count, Conehead has almost 150 officer on his security detail, that in most cases they're sitting around or parking in the alley around Conehead's house and (allegedly) racking up hundreds of thousands in overtime costs.
If they're interested in bigger fish that is.

It would appear to be misogynistic to investigate a female mayor and not a male mayor.

98% of the people on the job today have no clue who you’re referencing. Nor would they know about places such as Brothers Palace in 011 hosting said event in the early 90s. Most of the kids otj today weren’t even hatched yet. That said, Bishop DMJ wasn’t at all a bad guy. Would always say hello and ask how things were “in yo world, officer”. I would say you’re at least 15 million under more like $30 million with the overtime counting all the vehicles, counting all the extra money, the coppers get any details many of them get an extra check for duty availability, and an extra check for a uniform allowance that is hidden from everybody else got to spend that money on those nice gym shoes. And we have no media in this town that will do an investigation. The Alderman could easily stopped us via three-quarter majority cut his detail back. He doesn’t need anywhere near that many people, but then again, he’s using them as valets for his family and friends obviously
