With roughly 75 days to go before the Democrat National Convention rolls into town, Chicago’s crime problem just seems to keep growing. It seems the Dems putting on the event have selected “Our future is created here” as the event’s slogan. Given that Murder City USA has its own reputation that most of America probably doesn’t want, the entire convention has the potential to become an epic disaster.
Fortunately, with more and more good guys nationwide embracing the proven benefits of firearm ownership, the good guys manage to notch a win once in a while in Mayor Brandon Johnson’s hellhole. In fact, this past weekend, the locals notched three wins, giving the establishment media outlets not one, but three opportunities to bury stories of good guys with guns fighting back and winning against predatory thugs.
We won't list all the stories here, but click on the link up top for details.
In the meantime, be sure to tell your friends and neighbors to arm themselves and if confronted, start defending themselves.
The criminal doesn't fear the police - he fears the armed victim.

Business is way too good, for all the wrong reasons. But people are getting desperate.
In the past 3 months alone, among others, I've trained 3 separate church groups of Deacons and 1 Minister. 2 Lutherans and 1 Methodist. With from 6 to 9 people each.

Trained a group of County Sheriff's Deputies wives and adult daughters last November.
Over 300 people since I started.
Had one couple drive from the Ridge Park area to the South Suburbs because they didn't want their "Karen" neighbors to know they had carry permits. That's sad.
I remind every class that guns have 2 enemies. Politicians and rust, in that order.
How they vote matters to their ability to protect themselves and their family.

I am not the police. But, why are you guys going to risk your lives and possibly your freedom to protect communist politicians? Take the week off for the DNC. Call in sick. Do your family and yourself a huge favor. Let those commies handle those leftists protesters. Assistant General Counsel Scott Spears will now serve as General Counsel and Senior Attorney Audriana Logan will serve as Deputy Director of Litigation. Both are experienced attorneys who have extensive knowledge about legal affairs within government and a clear commitment to public service.
General Counsel – Scott Spears
General Counsel Spears, a four-year member of the Department, most recently served as the Acting General Counsel and Assistant General Counsel. As General Counsel, he oversees the management and direction of the Legal Affairs, Management and Labor Affairs, Risk Management and the Freedom of Information Act units. General Counsel Spears is tasked with advising Department leadership on legal matters related to operations affected by laws, statues or contracts while also supervising all legal functions within CPD. Prior to joining the Department, he was the Assistant Corporation Counsel of the City of Chicago's Department of Law. In this role, he represented various branches of City government. Before working in government, General Counsel Spears worked as an Attorney at Robbins, Salomon & Patt, Ltd. and as an Associate Attorney at Ancel, Glink, Diamond, Bush, DiCianni, Rolek, P.C. He holds a Juris Doctor degree from DePaul University College of Law and a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Northern Illinois University.

I have a legal CCL and FOiD.
I’ve trained in responsible gun handling since I was 9 at Summer Camp with .22 rifles.
I would be Concealed Carrying with a S&W .38 Special .
Even though it s “ legal “ for me to conceal carry in Chicago USA , there are so so many places where there are signs ( no gun allowed inside) - I know there are also,laws against legally carrying conceal guns on CTA, Metra, in Chicago public parks or in bars without a certain % of the bar restaurant making its $ revenue from food instead of liquor.
My question is:
Will Chicago Cops be ever likely to stop and frisk me in such situations, or just “ notice” that I have a bulge under my jacked or around my waste.
I would never take out my CC gun unless I felt my life was really endangered or I was thinking of being a Good Samaritan to stop a gang rape, wilding attack, stabbing of a senior citizen.
I m generally very street smart ( I m healthy and 62 yrs young) .
I noticed that even in instances where the leag, gun owner ‘s life was in serious danger ( George Zimmerman getting his head pounded in to the Concrete by little St Trayvon Martin, and Kyle Rittenhause being attacked by Antifa goons with skateboard club and a Glock gun) the Lib anti White, anti Second Amendment system did prosecute the legal gun users.
What is the general regular Chicago Policeman s view of a man like me - 62 year old, legal CCL holder and yes I m a straight White male ( maybe I should pretend to be “ gay” and claim future “ youth” attackers were shouting anti gay slurs.

Do you think they keep records, metrics, swipe-in or -out records, or will respond to open records request. No their results and methods are propriety. But, it working, imagine what violence would be without them.
Maybe unit 136, the efficiency auditors could look into this? Or, are they too busy with their forth police personnel resource allocation study?

Honestly JRHP, the CPD doesn’t care about CCL holders or people who legally have firearms in their homes. No copper is going to “stop and frisk” you. CCLs don’t even make the Top 20 list of our concerns. (So far this year there were over 13 thugs shot here by CCLs and no one seems to care.) So armed citizens and 2A proponents don’t need to be worried about the CPD. What they need to be worried about is Gov. Pritzker, Kim Foxx and the left-wing media. Colt DS and/or Ruger SP101, both six rounds and can handle +P loads, snubby.
Carry both, you can figure out how to do so discretely, as well as your selection of bullet types.
As for any expectations of any predictable actions of government employees of any kind, ponder that they all are more unpredictable than the actions of the miscreants you carry concealed for.
The former superintendent Gary McCarthy was on WLS Steve Cockren last week criticizing conceal carry holders and the second amendment. Looks like Cockren got wacked this week. Maybe Willow Springs will send McCarthy back to Jersey

Actually grandpa, I carried 46 rounds of ammo my entire career, and never fired a shot at anyone, on or off duty. Off duty, I was carrying 16 rounds. Carrying more ammo doors not translate to just randomly firing off rounds in hopes of getting a hit. You can carry more ammo without changing the way you shoot. The only difference, and it's an important one, is that you have SIGNIFICANTLY more ammo in case you need it. Your antiquated thinking is worse than your antiquated weapon choice. Is our military using 6 shot revolvers? Does any police department outside of Mayberry use revolvers? Is it because of video games? Are you actually arguing that your 6 rounds are more effective because after I fire 16 I would have to change magazines? I've changed magazines many times, without ever taking my eye off the target, and in less time than it would take you to find your speedloader that we know you don't carry. Your "logic" is equivalent to thinking I should only carry $10 in my wallet when I go to McDonald's, because if I carry $100 I'll buy 15 extra Big Macs just because I have enough money.
By the way, I wasn't the one you originally responded to, so my advice wasn't targeted specifically at civilians, though that wouldn't change anything about the FACT I stated. More ammo is better, ALWAYS. Any other viewpoint, and whatever imagined skills and failures you need to come up with to justify it, is just plain idiotic and wrong.

(If they do its as a backup instead of carrying a spare mag.) Our local savages won't turn tail and run at the sight of you simply pulling out a pistol anymore...and you can bet you'll be facing more than one trigger-puller. Besides, .38 Special +P may not bring down a 250-pound two-legged predator but 9mm+P has definitely proven itself. Remember NavySealRanger12 Rule #5: "There was never anyone in a gunfight that said I wish I was carrying less ammo". Lesson Over.

No matter how packed full your balls are and no matter how many spare packed full sacks you carry.
And no matter how big you imagine your pistol to be.
The goal, which you seem to have disregarded entirely, is to end the threat to your life.
That requires valueing things that you imply are less valuable than carrying quanties of ammunition which you 'need' should you find it difficult to accomplish ending the threat to your life efficiently.
Take note that the original series of responses were to a civilian, not bound by rules and goals to arrest and detain, only by the no rules equal to those who threaten to end your life.
Clarity of purpose.
End the threat to you life, and do not play stupid games while you're doing so.
