No Audio Tapes?
The head of the Secret Service admitted in front of Congress that the agency doesn't not have radio communication recordings from 13 July of the assassination attempt.
This is the same agency that deleted and refused to produce any communication tapes after the J6 debacle where Capitol Police were opening doors and escorting protestors through the building.

The Secret Service of all groups with the crazy responsibility of watching and protecting a presidential candidate… and they just simply “don’t have audio recordings.” There is precisely zero accountability for them. No body cams, nothing publicly accessible. They can just simply throw their hands up and go “we don’t know what happened.”

They may intentionally not record radio transmissions. That would leave documentation on how they operate and where these protected individuals go. You don’t want radio logs of hunter biden visits to prostitues or drug dealers.

If the communications were simplex -not going thru a repeater- like car to car etc, short range, they would probably not be recorded. You would need a portable receiver on site. Can the SS do it? Don't know. That said everything on a normal communication channel would. Another issue is communications between different agencies.
I doubt she knew it was a hit, I doubt she was in on it. But I do think now that it's happened she has a good idea who it was. Like Lois Lerner, she will retire on a pension unscathed. That's the way the game is played people....

It's been years since I was on the job, but I would bet the Secret Service does not record calls except where it has permanent radio and repeater sites at its Field Division offices. I also would not be surprised that they did not have a mobile command post that has this capability as it would be a royal pain to schlep equipment like this around the country in support of a Presidential campaign where a candidate might visit multiple states in one day, not to mention maintaining and updating this equipment between elections. Based on my experiences with GSA this equipment would be perpetually out of date and unmaintained if it was used only during presidential elections.

I am an hamradio operator. I know how their communications work. The reports I have are there was no frequency coordination. The local law enforcement could talk to each other but the USSS did not give any radios set up for their encryption so local Law enforcement could communicate directly with them. Because of the gaggle of different agencies from HLS they could not communicate with each other. As I pointed out in another post there was no way a general crash alert, GUN GUN GUN to go out on all radios. A Jill Biden's DEI hire almost got Trump killed.

If the Supt in your scenario has a high profile target that he is to ensure protection for, the target has multiple death threats against him, the Supt doesn't ensure proper protection is given to the target and takes away protection to give it to a lesser target (Jill Biden), doesn't ensure that protocols are followed, and then tries to cover things up, then he should be fired. The superintendent in your example would suffer negative blowback as he is ultimately responsible for ensuring competent personnel are in charge and training is consistent with national standards or better. Everything is situational and though it may not be within two weeks,, but yes,, he would be gone, by force or by choice,, if the same or similar fuck ups occurred surrounding someone of the same or similar top priority status.
