Protest Permits
Here's some of the disgruntled that will be popping up next month:
- Bodies Outside of Unjust Laws
- U.S. Palestinian Community Network
- Poor People’s Economic Human Rights Campaign
- Students for a Democratic Society at UIC
- Israeli American Council
- Reparations for Descendants of Enslaved Africa
- March for People’s Agenda
- Chicago Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression
Of course, it's the ones who aren't applying for any permits that should be of the most concern.
All told, the estimates are of 40,000 protestors camping out in Chicago that week. We're pretty sure those are exaggerated as they're coming from the protestors themselves. But even 20,000 would be an issue for the Department.

This is a job, not your obligation to the world. Your obligation is to your family and to your friends (who are also going to be at HOME if they have two brain cells to rub together). Much of this is all to do for nothing. So far the “biggest” group protesting is expecting about 900-1400 protesters for their protest. That is from organizers and confirmed by several social media outlets of people saying they like the event or have confirmed to attend.
