The almost 300 cops who arrived here to assist CPD?
- they're sleeping at the Academy on cots.
That building is fifty years old and the AC only works sporadically. We've also heard the amenities leave a lot to be desired.
The National Guard (between 60 and 120 personnel) is deployed out of 35th Street, but get this:
- those guys and gals are sleeping on the 3rd floor (the bedbug floor) at HQ.
The air conditioning at the Armory went out and internal temperatures soared to about 100 degrees, so they've been camping there ever since.
There was food being delivered from military contractors and the Guard, being military types, offered to share with the civilians working at HQ. The civilians started walking out with entire trays of food, and the guardsmen had to post security in the media room to restrict access to their own food.

they are on 2nd floor and sleep in training room and have full access to the locker rooms and gym . Midnight shiift sleeps in gym during day also with locker room access.

Municipal cops requested to assist CPD for the DNC. Municipalities agree to send their cops. Municipalities wait to be reimbursed. Cots? No air conditioning? I'm sure municipalities wouldn't be pleased to learn how poorly their cops are being treated at the DNC.
Pittsburg I slept in a gym on a cot. This is pretty standard when deployed out to assist another agency on one of these.

I served honorably in our military services, and retired from CPD in good standing. With the current state of affairs in our country, I would do neither again...The thought of all those illegal aliens in hotel rooms while first responders are sleeping in makeshift cots like refugees makes me sick.

In all fairness, they are sleeping in the training room and pretty much have that entire area to themselves, including exclusive access to the gym and showers. I asked at least a dozen of the guards how they feel about the conditions and they pretty much have said they can’t complain about being in air conditioning, clean showers and a gym. Some said this was better than they had in a long time. Everybody has been bringing them extra food and doing our best to treat them like appreciated guests.

Democrats and their ilk revile both the Men and Women in service to our Country as well as the Men and Women in uniform upholding peace and order in our communities. The democrats revile men and women who keep us safe. Treating police or military on par as migrants with upscale amenities is an absolute no no. Progressives and the looney left like when they persons in uniform protect these elitists but have contempt for our heroes thereafter.
If this is accurate, it is disgusting. I don't care if this is standard protocol everywhere or what goes on elsewhere in the world. When we were deployed to D.C. for the Bush II inauguration, we were out up at the Hinckley Hilton. Nice bar also.

The IL National Guard are sleeping and living out of the academy. The military catered meals are worse than what they give to the illegals. They were forbidden from ordering out as well as sitting guard in their Humvees (too high profile according to our supervisors). So now we order extra food for them and treat them to real Chicago fare (best pizza, tacos and Italian subs) These kids are so grateful. And this is all from the blue shirts btw. Our bosses can’t even go to fucking Costco and buy our men and women beverages, coffee or lunch.

Yep I saw the Mexican cleaning ladies take one of the National Guard "meals" (there's usually about half left out cause no one wants it). The ladies heated it in the microwave and tried it. They took a couple of bites and threw it out. LOL And yes...the Guard are posted on the academy roof cause they can't be seen in the Hummers...but the illegals are allowed to sell food and stolen merchandise out of the trunks of their cars in broad daylight.
