Remember when there was nationwide support for a "three strikes" law? A lot of states passed legislation....but not Illinois! Criminals get to re-offend - over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over....:
Randall Brown, a 30-time convicted felon accused of stealing motorized scooters in Lincoln Park and Streeterville two years ago, is heading back to prison for his 31st and 32nd felony convictions.
Brown, also known as Randall Browning, pleaded guilty on Thursday to two counts of possessing a stolen motor vehicle to resolve the scooter cases. Judge Anjana Hansen gave him concurrent six-year sentences. However, because he earned 942 days of credit in jail, and the state will cut his sentence by 50% for good behavior, Brown is expected to be back on the streets in about 153 days.
Brown had been on parole for less than a month for ten similar cases when Chicago police detectives began looking at him as a suspect in a string of scooter thefts stretching across the North Side and downtown. They eventually charged him with two cases that involved photo and video evidence.
Thirty-two felony convictions.
And he'll be back in Chicago before summer is over.
But this time will be different, right?

Criminals best friends are Illinois politicians. If most career criminals only knew they would get light time and lots of brakes. The population would jump with all the criminals coming from all over the Country. Other countries too.
Imagine a life spent hustling from day to day stealing what you need and taking what you want. The Illinois criminal justice system has become an enabling entity. The best and most sober days of this individual were likely spent behind bars. This individual will never break the cycle of his ways and change is never going to happen. Thanks judges....

When I worked in automotive engineering an old manager once said that a certain issue wouldn't go away until that vehicle went out of production. We have a similar issue with this offender.
Years and years ago "60 Minutes" did a long segment on how the 3-Strikes Rule was soooo unfair and disproportionately affected "people of color" and other "justice impacted" people. They used these strange buzzwords and emotional pleas and well...from then on network and cable news (and of course the Free Shit Army) pushed that anti-law-and-order propaganda through Obama's two terms. The Democrats got the message to fall in line and do away with it (even though President Bill Clinton supported it). And so here we are now. In this awful timeline.
The fact is the 3-Strikes Rule turned American cities around to make them safer and helped take the burden off of families with a deadbeat babies' daddy who preferred a life of crime and drugs. There is a reason the 1990s to early 2000s were the last great decades in this country.
Time to stop counting time on the EM as time severed.

The biggest culprit in many of these cases is the Illinois Prison system. They routinely reduce sentences for " good behavior" to cut their exposure and problems. In this case they cut Browns sentence by half before he ever set foot in an Illinois Prison.
Just imagine how many maxed out Rap sheet Rewards Cards he has. How many miles he has on his cards in his travels. His platinum rewards will get him his own upgraded president's club suite at the Cook County Jail which includes a spa, pool and complimentary continental breakfasts. What's in your wallet?

Given the recent DOGE revelations, Randall Brown should apply for a legit position in the federal government. This guy's outperforming criminal accomplishments makes him "highly qualified" to work in the federal government's day to day financial operations. Don't worry Randall, no one ever gets locked up for financial fraud in the federal system of governance.
Maybe now that Crimesha is gone he will stay in jail ... or maybe not.

That’s like blaming the cops for the catch and release program, or the judges for no cash bail. The problem and solution was created by the Democrats in the state and they are the only ones that can fix the problem they created. I’m sure the department of corrections is filled with people of the same political bent as the cops and the last thing they want to do is let these serious and dangerous criminals back out on the street.
Write this guy some tickets for some mover and no insurance. He will be mandatorily fined for the operating a vehicle without proof of insurance and assessed mandatory court fees just like everyday people. Big money. Lots of headaches associated with tickets never the forgiving criminal courts. This will teach him not to boost motor scooters without insurance and to obey the vehicle code. Problem solved with mandatory fines and associated court costs.

Fed (not fbi) here: can someone explain to me how a perp can get a 50% reduction for good behavior in this state BEFORE the supposed “good behavior” happens? Like, how are they getting that from DOC on the front end before they’ve even been to prison?
I will give Brown credit for one thing - there's no wanton violence associated with his mass of crimes. The kind of violence they are never charged with, or never have to serve any time for because the judge pretends all charges but one are being served "concurrently". But this is so very rare - I wonder what it is that makes Brown so unique?
I remember a lifelong felon getting life in California for his third strike. He shoplifted a pack of gum but was on probation. I’m good with it.

Not only that, I've never heard of a case where any of them had to serve their complete sentence. On top of that, they're often given hundreds of days of mysterious "miscellaneous credits". CWB recently reported on a case of a12 year sentence reduced to less than two years.

I would also like an alternative or at least a rino-free party, but the only thing libertarians have accomplish is taking votes away from the other candidates and mostly the republicans.
