St Jude Coverage
A couple of the media sites have coverage of the March this year:
Members of law enforcement and their families gathered downtown Sunday morning to honor fallen officers during the annual Saint Jude Memorial March.
Thousands of police officers are making the solemn procession, which began at 8 a.m. at North Michigan Avenue and East Superior Street. The march travels north to East Chicago Avenue, where it then turns west on Chicago Ave. to North Clark Street. The parade is scheduled to end between 10 and 11 a.m.
Gold Star families gathered to look on for the program, held annually to remember the 606 Chicago police officers who have been killed in the line of duty and to honor the sacrifices of their loved ones.
God Bless all of the Fallen.

From an out of state retired officer. No mass at Holy Name.
I saw Rich there. Check him off.
There but for the grace of God.
Coulda been my wife, which would be unfortunate.
She is never in a good mood in the .morning!
Salutes and prayers for each family and surviving partner(s).
Great parade
God bless.
606? Wow! This is an insane number. Chicago is a meat grinder and guess who is the sausage?
Can someone tell the First Deputy Superintendent to pull her hair up behind her ears and off of her collar before attending an honorable event? She refuses to follow rules. She refuses to be and to sat good examples in her professional and personal life.
I saw a picture of her and what a disgrace to the uniform. She looked like a soup sandwich.
It's the new way of bosses.
They don't show a command appearance of respect anymore.
Always an Honor to attend.
That is always a great event.
Keeses for all those that were there.
I had a busy night at work last evening and overslept. I guess I stand an inspection. MY uniforms still fit...NBD
Honor and prayers and thanks to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice...
Check me off too I was there. No further inspection needed.
You could do it.
I know people are pissed at the fact that BJ showed up, but fact of the matter is, that at least he showed up. Little Richie never showed up, and I think the others didn't either. The more pressing issue is the sloppiness of some of our members and the horrible condition of their uniforms. You're honoring our fallen, show some respect and clean up your appearance.
its a bad wig
I tried going down to the parade site at about 9:30 AM and it was all over, not a soul in sight. Disappointed, as all the announcements said the parade was going from 8:30 (?) to 10:00.
Standing right next to the Superintendent and mayor. Raggedy.
Thanks to All who participated. Prayers for All Gold Star Family Members. Gone, never forgotten. In our prayers daily.
St. Jude is an embarrassing. Yes it gets you out of inspection but maybe take some time to get the uniform pressed after balling it up in your closet for the year.
One third of the officer's there looked like a bag of ass. If we're honoring our fallen don't show up if you look like sausage stuffed into a casing.
Too bad FatAss couldn't pull himself away from an all you can eat buffet and attend!
as usual, the media didn't cover any of it hardly at all, but they have a whole segment for wicker Park libtards with three different colors of hair droning on about nonsense. So glad I don't watch local news anymore and I'm moving out of state next month.
Marched on Michigan ave when I started and grateful to see it back. Don’t care about the bosses or the politicians, March for the Fallen and their families.
Wait until you see Commander Quarterman. The goddamn Commander of the Inspection Unit always looks like shit. During the DNC she walked around pointing out ticky-tack shit while her hair was way past her collar. She’s a slob. It’s fucking ridiculous.
bad mouthing talley is great how about contacting the nypd rant n fox news so everybody in the country knows she is a corrupt racist hater
it was a great ceremomy
The participants are all off-duty, yes? Otherwise, who is standing in for them while they are not working?
Talley is a total embarrassment. Wake up Snelling. For the love of God.
The crowd and officers attending gets smaller and smaller. It’s sad. Even the families of the fallen seems to have shrank
I concur with that observation
Yes!
Mostly off duty. But who knows, Snelling likes, tall men, cameras and flashy uniforms so maybe few tall on-duty guys were called up to march.
whats nypd rant?
Wait until you see Commander Quarterman. The goddamn Commander..
Quarteman’s wig and shoes are total embarrassments. She wears beat up steel toe boots with her dress blues. Boots haven’t seen a shine in years.
They don't still march around the parking lot by Soldier Field anymore?
Used to be on Michigan Av years back.
If you've ever looked at that book, 'End of Watch' quite a few have died under strange means.
Sold my blouse and reefer to a recruit in the academy for $300 I retired, didn't want it.
Its was my last march at St Jude. I brought my wife and kids. I thought I would make it through without shedding a tear but when my daughter ran out and joined our formation I lost it.
Thank you CPD, CCSP and suburban Officers for 26 years of backing us Troopers up. We could not do our job without your dedication.
To the families and friends of all our fallen brothers. May peace be with you, fair winds and calm seas.
Road Dawg
District Chicago
really? then it must have your 1st time going if you say that
Agreed. The troopers look sharp.
Tell us you’re not the police without telling us you’re not the police!
Personally, at some point family has to let go. If I died in the LOD, I’d want my family to move on at some point.
Don't worry about it jerk
Or buy uniform that actually fits, some people looked like they were about to explode.
I wouldn't want my family to forget me, my sacrifice or my killer. SMH
20yrs and I've only replaced the pants. Couldn't do the pregnant woman rubber band to extend the waist.
God bless and good luck in thr next chapter
Totally agree. This one marked the last one for me after 27 years. Proud to say that my original dress uniform still fits without any alterations. Attended mass at Holy Name after the march. Was very disappointed that a Blue mass was not taking place. May God always bless the men and women of the CPD and may we never, ever forget the fallen.
If I die in the LOD I told my family to tell the mayor to go F himself, tell the dept to do GF themselves and to make sure none of the bosses from srgts up are to attend my services. Matter of fact family and friends only!! Don't have me in this clown outfit in my casket either. This job didnt define me nor does it represent my life .. it was a job that paid the bills period!
F this profession and the people i was paid to "protect".
26 that’s it ?
one's proper attire is the first step in earning any level of respect
I left all my uniforms at the Academy so some recruit could have them for free when I retired.
whats nypd rant?

It's a NYPD cop blog/forum similar to this one
I agree but what do you expect when our brass looks like shit. It all rolls down hill.
What about the sloppiness of mayor raggedy’s appearance ?
Blue and white striped raggedy socks with brown shoes ?!
Hey Talley ! Hair off the collar !
So unprofessional
Are your fingers broken?
Too much work to do it yourself?
Talk about being an absolute lazy piece of shit…
Agreed!
You need help!!
I just spit out my coffee that was so funny!
Congrats on retirement, brother.
The Blue Tornado will always respond when a Trooper needs help.
Any time, any place, just call.
Thats too bad.
From now until the day I die, every policeman will be my brother.
I am proud to say I was the Chicago Po-lice, always will.
The job had changed, but not the majority of coppers out there. This is why I slow down when I see them on a T-stop, why I pray for them, and why I cry when they are murdered.
Stay alert, stay alive, my friends!
Why would NYPD care about our clowns? They have enough of their own.
too many non-police on this blog saying nonsensical BS I liked it when it first started when had to give your credentials to join
Yeesh. Get some help.
Congrats Brother! Always respected and backed up ISP. Enjoy your family and keep cashing those checks.
This same comment has been posted before. Why? If you’re looking for help please reach out.
Was she admonished by the Inspection Division Commander?
You were never the police just a bitter person collecting welfare
that never happened. ever.
Forget it Talley. Nice try moron.
St Judes lasts for minutes, but the pride parade last for hours....go figure!
That's the other site with police stuff to do the job ;)
God Bless ISP. Blue officers always have your back. Stay safe.
