More SAFE-T Failure
In spite of the effort by Cook County judges to hammer convicts with sentences that haven't been seen in decades, they're still failing to keep violent criminals in check via cash bonds or custodial restrictions:
The system had three chances to stop Alex Cusick. Each time, he was released. On the fourth arrest, prosecutors say, he escalated from stealing restaurant tip jars and hopping a CTA turnstile to violently trying to rob a woman in the Loop. Cusick, 28, was arrested three times in five weeks before the September 5 attack. The first two arrests involved misdemeanor theft and trespassing, and the third was for fare jumping at the Lake Red Line station. He was released after each one. It wasn’t until prosecutors charged him with attempted robbery and battery that a judge ordered him detained.
The arrests began July 19 at a restaurant in the 100 block of North Wabash Avenue. Staff told police Cusick was a “habitual trespasser” who repeatedly entered the restaurant, bought nothing, caused disturbances and refused to leave, a Chicago police report said. That afternoon, he allegedly stole the tip jar. Police arrested him outside, charged him with misdemeanor theft and trespassing, and released him from the station about six hours later.
On August 15, it happened again. Cusick was arrested in the 300 block of North Wabash Avenue after a restaurant reported that he had repeatedly refused to leave and had stolen its tip jar, according to a separate police report. He was again charged with misdemeanor theft and trespassing.
Neither charge is detainable, but Judge James Murphy III held him in custody for violating pretrial release in the first case. Judge Peter Gonzalez released him again two days later, according to court records.
On August 28, Cusick was arrested a third time, this time for fare jumping at the Lake Red Line station in the Loop, CPD records show. He was released at the scene.
Then came September 5.

But as we've stated numerous times, without an incentive to walk the straight and narrow - or at least to stop running up and over the curbs of a civilized society - then your low life feels there are zero consequences for their actions and continues to act as such. At the very least, a cash bond that might be forfeited or a few nights in jail discouraged asshole-ish behavior for a short while. Anyone claiming differently is a moron....or a democrat.

How many chances does the system get before the vigilantes get theirs? Because people are gonna get tired of "the system" letting the criminals run amok and I don't think the criminals will like that too much.

Cook County democrat judges need to treat the multiplicity of criminals similarly to January 6 unarmed citizens who peacefully petitioned their government. No bails, no pre-trial Safe-T-Act provisions, documented stories of solidary confinement, democrat socialist Gestapo roundups of citizens across the county, pollical weaponization of law enforcement, orchestrated testimonies of willing accomplices at government hearings, documented testimonies of cruel and unusual punishment while incarcerated, and unbelievable "insurrection" narratives advanced by congressional elected representatives of the people in collusion with the media.
Cook County judges should act in accordance with this Jan 6 modern day template of punitive criminal law giving repeat offenders a taste of the immense power of the democrat socialists exercising absolute control. Imagine the fear that could be instilled in Cook County's criminals if elected democrat officials and the media were on board taking affirmative action in lockstep achieving the party's objectives. striking fear into criminal participators.
Cook County needs a progressive democrat socialist like Senator Chuck Schumer (DSA) to call out Cook County's activist judges with threats similar to this: “I want to tell you Gorsuch. I want to tell you Kavanaugh. You have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price. You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.” And do the Cook County judges make decisions which compromise public safety each and every day.
By the way, Schumer is a top democrat so the scales of justice are tilted as he was not-never held accountable for threatening public officials and calculated interference of a judicial process. More punishment is doled out in Cook County for a red light camera infraction, parking ticket or speed zone citation in this democrat ruled town. Threats from democrat elected officials on camera does not rise to the level of prosecution. Threating supreme court justices is permissible and brushed aside if you are a top democrat advancing the right causes. Red light notices of violation, parking tickets and designated by law speed zone money-making citations are not and must be dealt with swift monetary punishments. Recidivist and violent criminals get a pass for accountability in the written in stone democrat progressive social justice and constitutional policing models.

What ever happened to a Sheriff Tom Dart electronic monitoring (EM). This fool Cusick seems to be EM eligible. Don't forget Dart's leadership was absent without leave (AWOL) keeping the criminals creeps free as a bird. About 10% of the EMs went AWOL defied terms and conditions of the EM agreements were on the loose terrorizing democrat controlled communities. Then came chief judge Tim Evans. His oversight was likened to a useless Consent Decree oversight. And then came judge Beach who got sand in his face with his progressive judicial activism and his party's partnership with criminals. Whatever happened to EM? The failure of EM enforcement by top government administrators is on par with the cashless bond Safe-T catastrophe giving the upper hand out on cashless bail and out of jail advantage to deplorable criminals.

A) I don’t believe a Governor can unilaterally cancel a law previously passed by the IL Assembly, & (B) Bailey is unelectable anyway. Best opponent Papa JB could’ve asked for - an anti-abortion candidate will NEVER win statewide IL election. Hanging on to enforcing a religious choice among non-believers is the most certain way to keep the DNC running this state forever.
