Shooting.....and More

  • Chicago police shot a man suspected of shooting at them after he was confronted for drinking alcohol Saturday night at a Lawndale parking lot.

The man was in critical condition after suffering a gunshot wound, according to a statement from Chicago police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi.

In a press conference after the shooting, deputy chief Al Nagode told reporters the man was believed to be about 40 years old and was expected to survive his gunshot wound.
  • “The officers are doing what we’re asking them to do — make sure if there are any parties or large crowds they get out and investigate,” Nagode said.
If you want crime to consistently go down, then you need to support police when they are doing what needs to be done....and that means stopping people breaking the law. How hard is it to go drink in your own back yard? The police don't stop you then.

Meanwhile, in Englewood:
  • Four people were hospitalized, including one Chicago police officer, after a man was shot while driving and went the wrong way down a street Sunday morning in Englewood.

Around 3:20 a.m., the 23-year-old man was driving a Hyundai Santa Fe in the 1200 block of West 73rd Street when a bullet struck him in the foot, according to Chicago police. He fled the shooting by going south on Ada Street, which was the wrong way.

The Hyundai crashed into a Chicago police squad car driving east on 74th Street, police said. An officer from the vehicle was taken to a hospital, and his condition was stabilized.
  • A dozen people were injured, including ten Chicago police officers, in a multi-vehicle crash Saturday night in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

Around 10 p.m., two Chicago police vehicles — a van and an unmarked SUV — were involved in a crash with several other vehicles on Division Street and Laramie Avenue, according to Chicago police.

Ten officers were taken to a hospital nearby, and a man and a woman, both civilians, were transported to Norwegian American Hospital, police said. All 12 were expected to survive.
Best wishes to all of the injured. Hopefully, not all from a single unit, otherwise there are going to be shortages.

This city, and every resident and tourist, should be bowing down to the cops for all that they are doing, every day and night, to protect and serve us. There is no amount of money in the world that most people would take to do what cops do - be prepared to and actually run into the line of fire purely out of a sense of Duty. In top of it, they have little to no support and backing from the people they’re serving and protecting; many religious leaders; the media, which is, essentially, their spokesperson to the community; and their counterpart in the SAA. As a citizen, I cannot thank you enough for what you do. I stand with so many others in thanking you, supporting you, and truly having your back as you have ours. Never let the naysayers win. Never let them take away your selfless sense of Duty. And make sure you remember to separate the noise from the nonessnse.

The cops in the accident that were in the van were from 025 3rd watch. They were assigned foot patrol since they were working overtime. The civilian ended up dieing. The video footage from the accident has gone viral and the van blew a red light heading to the 10-1. Unfortunately, you will probably see more catastrophes in the future in 025 since most veteran officers are gone thanks to Escamerit fucking with people and causing a toxic work place. Too many young cops in that district that don't know what they are doing.

Speaking of that crash on division and laramie. There is a video of that incident floating around all over the facebook. Officers were responding to a 10-1. The van was driver by PPOs from 025 who completely blew the red light and hit the unmarked unit. PPOs then claimed they had a solid green light and it was unmarked car fault which was later found to be a lie after said video surfaced. Who was so brilliant to let PPOs drive together like that?

The van that got in an accident were 3rd watch cops from 025. They were originally supposed to be in cars. But guess who told the Lt. he wanted them in a van instead so that they would be pressed to do foot patrols? If you guessed the legendary 025th district Commander and all around idiot Tony Escamerit then you win a blue card.
Now, I'm not saying you can really blame Escamerit for the poor driving tactics that lead to this tragedy. It just goes to show though how this moron can fuck up a cup of coffee whenever he takes it upon himself to put his two cents in.
He did manage to go to Blackhawk Park to do some ass kissing yesterday. He got on the Zone and asked them to send a car there for a battery. The dispatcher, clearing thinking he was a goof by her tone, had to inform him that one had already been dispatched five minutes ago.
Way to pay attention to the radio boss. You clearly haven't taken any advice that was given to you when you first came to 025 3 and a half very long years ago. Stay in your office and let adults handle things. Oh, and by the way, the van that got in that accident was the one that CAPS normally uses. Anthony Escamerit better call downtown ASAP so that his 'Secret Day Care Service' is still up and running for the holiday.

Fox 32 is Reporting. Here we go! An 84-year-old woman was killed in a four-car crash that involved two police vehicles on Saturday night.

A marked police van, SUV and "several civilian vehicles" were involved in the crash about 10 p.m. in the 1200 block of North Laramie Avenue in the Austin neighborhood.

The victim was identified by relatives as Verona E. Gunn. Her son, Bishop Dwight Gunn, told Fox 32 News on Sunday night that Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson had reached out to the family and assured him the crash was under investigation.

Gunn shared on social media:

"Overnight my family experienced the loss of our Matriarch Verona E. Gunn through no fault of her own. While sitting at a stop light my sister's car was pummeled by 2 25th District CPD cars that collided into each other and then into my sister's car at Laramie and Division while my sister simply sat at the stop light. The internal injuries from the crash were too much for my 84 year old mother to overcome. My family will seek answers for the reckless behavior of the Chicago Police Department as we morn the loss of our mother."

Lori will be writing her first check as Mayor

look good by failing to snatch guns out of the hands of the
death-loving, hyper-violent, society-hating, mind-locked
gun wielding miscreants who are out here doing the m/fing
fool with impunity and immunity.

"Cops Fail To Tamp Down Gun Violence - More Police Accountability

Oh yeah... Expect the foolishness on our old beat,
aka "The Village" to figure prominently.

"Poleece actin' like dey don't care about US!"

Heh...
The Village has ALWAYS been a death-loving, hyper-violent,
beyond hope/salvage/redemption bloody and shitty human goulash
of unchecked and ungovernable depravity, evil and hatred rightfully
forsaken by God and men willing and able to do good...

And in the face of such forsakenness?

The Police being forced as a condition of employment,
to take on duty of care for these, the hateful and hyper-violent
lovers of death and destruction... Or else... Because they've
FAILED to care enough about themselves and have given no heed
to their contract with society.

...Yeah.

Can't wait for the Police "report card" to come out
and see how The Police will be further defamed and
slandered for "failing" to bring others to heel in
adhering to the same standards of civility that the
rest of everybody else tries to abide by.

The ball is in your court Madame Mayor.

Meanwhile?

Do nothing more than what are the basic requirements and respond to calls with good judgement. The line has been drawn by Lori and Special Ed. They treat the Department as second class citizens, don't support them, no contract and play the blame game. The Inspectors are the enforcers for the corrupt system, in conjunction with the usual hack Commanders selected by the incompetent Superintendent. The fools are upping the harassment game on us.

Colleagues in blue don't be a fool. We are being used and abused by every special interests group and the Democratic Socialist Party. For those few who wish to throw caution to the wind please do so at your own peril and avoid endangering other law enforcement personnel and the citizens. Tax burdens are heavy enough without paying for frivolous and unnecessary law suits.

The plan for this weekend is Lori and Ed's crime suppression plan. So far poor results with another 24 hours to go. Local media had the Mayor and Ed walking a murder seen. It looked like a fat guy taking his teenaged daughter for a walk at night with a police escort (no sign of clout heavy contractor security). Sadly, you'll be doing many more similar crime scenes with your guy. You may wish to rethink your crime suppression plan and make big changes to it. Start with Special Ed.

You’re not alone. Same in 017. Only some of the supervisors get ducks. Troops get nothing. Do as I say not as I do

Im sure one of them will claim this department is not like his father's department before he claims his back hurts again

Sadly another ghetto lottery winner with the big mouth ability to bash CPD.

Please follow 07s example.

We dont blame you.

Were sick of the libtard stupidity and fake news. Accidents happen. People are human. He's supposed to be Godly man, whatever happened to a Christian response?

Nope looking for a payout,

Hi SCC, OT but interesting...How about an on-duty female officer barging into a detective interview of her nephew in regard to a double homicide shooting. Had to be told to leave. Wouldnt and caused a scene. Tried to drag nephew out. Sgt. had to threaten arrest.

5/26/2019 06:46:00 PM

Sgt shouldn’t have threatened and just done it

Ever since the inception of the SDSC rooms you will see less shootings and homicides this year. Thank you to the CPD staff and civilians that operate these rooms.

--------

Surely you're being sarcastic here, in which case you are a master of comedy. Because the only thing SDSC rooms are good for is taking even more manpower off the street.

The phony bishop Dunn is looking for the ghetto lottery ticket big time. And trust me he will get it because he is a member of the permanent victim class and a fake reverend. Lori and fat head ed will bend over backwards to throw money at this faker. But the white kid who was attacked by a band of feral predators or the multitude of whites attacked in hate crimes on Michigan Avenue, nothing is done. Lori and Rahm’s media have made it perfectly clear that there is two types of justice in Chicago. One for those who do not work nor contribute and one for those of us who do

===================

This citizen agrees 10000%.

There's a video of the 10-1 on facebook that those cars were driving to before the crash. The officer tazered the man with a gun and tried to slow down but the dispatcher kept talking over him

I bet it will arrive about the same time the one from the community hospital arrives. Son felt that the hospital was unprepared for that type of injury and she had to be transferred to another hospital

Shirly, surely, you jest.

Do you also protest?

Or infest?

Or, maybe, give it a rest?

The democrat party of poverty pimping has done a thorough job on so many that the default has become dependency for everything.

“Threaten to arrest her?” If this happened she should have been arrested on the spot. At the very least she should be facing suspension time. My guess is that she’s connected and they are afraid of reprocussions. Usually only the connected act that way.

You hit the nail on the head.

Nagode seems like a nice enough guy and pro police and all. But remember, he likes to look good. And he relies on you as blueshirt to make him look good in form of arrests, ISRs, ANOVs, and blue cards. Like all bosses, when the shit hits the fan and youre in the grinder for stepping into some shit. Nobody. And I mean nobody is going to put their neck out for you. Not in today’s climate. You’re expected to do everything perfectly by the book. Body cam on and all. Calling anyone a dog ass these days is stupid and makes you sound like a kool aide drinker. Don’t be so naive. Those days of getting heads and jumping out on dudes and daisy chaining them all up and all that be the police bullshit are over. At least for smart coppers. If you want to fight crime these days get into the D unit and build cases with solid PC. Working the streets are too unpredictable where one misstep will land you in a jam and everything is stacked against you. It ain’t 1985 anymore. Go to your jobs don’t pawn anything off that’s your responsibility on anyone else, have lunch and go home at the end of your tour.
