Shots Fired at Police
Something about this sounds very....very familiar:
At least one gunman opened fire on a Chicago police squad car as officers were investigating reports of men aiming weapons at passing vehicles in Little Village on Friday night.
Fortunately, the officers escaped injury, but bullets struck their squad car.
CPD units went to the area after 911 callers reported that four males were pointing guns at cars traveling in the 2400 block of South Sacramento around 10:40 p.m. The men had also blocked off a nearby alley with garbage cans.
Shots fired.....
....at passing vehicles....
.....in Little Village....
....Sacramento Blvd (3000 W) which is two blocks away from Sawyer Ave (3230 W).
Golly, if only we could remember why this sounds so familiar!

All the Kings on that block, and every other block for that matter, are a bunch of fkin scumbag terrorists. Same as Toledo was, no matter if he was 13. Shooting at cars, little hoodlums. Thank God no police were hurt. Sadly it's only a matter of time. This will happen again.

In the past the High Command would target an area where something like this would happen with so much manpower for days that the bad guys would “cry uncle” and give up a lot. The decent people were very appreciative of the presence that they were able to come out and breathe.

I remember years ago if the police were shot/shot at, police would flood the are for 2-3 days and everyone went to jail. Jaywalking? Goin to jail. DOPW? Goin to jail. Operation Just Cause I believe it was called.
We still are. Civilian here on the blocks where this happened Friday night.
Many neighbors here never call CPD on these assholes only because somehow the local LK set always finds out WHO it was that called the cops, and take revenge accordingly (one neighbor had a gun put to her daughter's head; that family sold their building & moved out of state). The Kings have a friend either in 010, or at OEMC, or both, who tip them off with a caller ID. Consequently a couple residents here have resorted to buying Burner Phones simply for 911 calls, everyone else stays silent.

-this happens nearly EVERY weekend. And dumpsters rolled out in the street to block intersections, construction barriers too. Cars then have to slow down to get around the obstruction and the bangers meanwhile shine flashlights inside to ID occupants, like a military checkpoint. I've called 911 about this & gotten nothing but attitude over the phone, saying that's a Streets & San problem - because trash cans?! - and I should be calling 311 instead. New Alderman Sigcho Lopez hasn't been any help either (used to be Cardenas here before the redistricting).
Residents of apartment building at 24th & Albany, behind the old fire station, got so sick of having to roll their dumpster back from the middle of the street every Sunday morning that they now have it cable-locked to the wall.
And that short twit who heads up 10th District is totally useless, we've seen maybe 3 beat cars patrol our block in a decade. You only see cops after shots have been fired, suddenly a dozen materialize to wander around with flashlights looking for shell casings. Never any CPD around when two dozen gangbangers barricade local traffic for an entire Friday or Saturday night.
I’ll never forget when a cops hat was stolen out of a squad car in the 2400 block of St Louis in the early ‘90’s. Took 10 minutes and three knocked down doors to turn up! The good old days!
Retied here: Back in the day, we would clamp down on the Kings in that area. Dept doesn’t have the intestinal fortitude to do that anymore. Times have changed. Sad

New York State has some proposed legislation which will decrease the work load of the police. Sounds good to me. It is something that has been floated here in the past. Just ban "minor" traffic enforcement stops.

Garbage cans moved for what you said are not for streets and sans. If anyone tells you this again, finish the call, call back 911 and ask for a supervisor. Youll have to hold, but dont hang up. The person answering the phone, dispatching the call, and the officers responding are ALL traceable.
