Moussaoui Verdict

This is a bad thing - life in prison. This is just our opinion, but it's our blog so you get to read our opinion first, and then we open up the comments and you can voice yours.

We are at war against an implacable enemy. An enemy that regularly tortures, kills and beheads those unfortunate enough to fall into their clutches. An enemy that has declared war against Western civilization as a whole and has vowed that all will one day live under sharia - islamic law. And the truly insidious thing is that they use our own freedoms against us and hide behind "political correctness" and cries of "racism!" the moment anyone attempts to quote what they've said about destroying and subjugating the "infidels."

Against these enemies, we as Americans, ought to be able to come together and be strong enough to issue the ultimate sanction when appropriate. THIS was such a time and a jury blinked. The system failed. Islamo-fascists will interpret this as yet another sign of weakness displayed by the "Great Satan" and begin taking hostages with the intent of pressuring this and successive American governments to release their "brother in arms."

Once upon a time, when Timothy McVeigh blew up 100+ men, women and children, America was able to arrest, try and execute him within 6 years of his crime. Now? We have a man confessing to one of the largest crimes in recorded history and we can't even get a needle in his arm, let alone stand him in front of a wall or drop him through a trapdoor.

Moussaoui needed to be executed. Now in Supermax, he becomes a cause celebre, a rallying point for leftists everywhere. Truly a sad day. A round up of reactions from the blogosphere here at HotAir.com That's it - we've had our say.

He's going to the supermax prison in Colorado. He'll spend 23 hours a day in a 7 x 12 room. He's in his 30's so he has probably 40 years to look forward to.

He won't be a martyr in the eyes of his asshole followers, but time will march on. Someday down the road maybe things will be better, but not for his kind. And he'll still be locked up. Seems good enough for me, execution would be too merciful.

We got alot of problems in this country, I'm not sure if we can ever make things right again. I knew Illinois was fucked-up when the people in the Land of Lincoln elected that buffoon Carol Moseley Braun to the US Senate-remember the endorsement by our all Irish FOP? And how about the hillbillys on the jury that spared the life of Susan Smith after she strapped her two children into their car seats and drowned them because they stood in the way of her and her new jocker. The pussy jurors stated she now has her entire life in jail to think about what she did to her children. I would have placed the barrel into her ear, squeezed one off and given her eternity to think about it. The crime deserved no less. My stomach soured after I heard the James Camp verdict. And the Moussaoui verdict further strengthens my belief that this country-the country that defeated Hitler-doesn't have the courage to do what is necessary to protect it's own citizens by failing to impose the death penalty. I don't know where we'll end up in the new world order but God help us if Bejing, or Moscow be our capitol.

France already wants Moussaoui transfered to serve his sentence there. He would no doubt be treated as a hero if he is not already.

Remember what happened to Jeffy Dahlmer??

Hopefully the same will happen to him there. That shouldnt qualify him for the virgins in Martydom cause he didnt die by the hand of the US.

Justice was served it just doesnt seem like it. Martyrs are "canonized" or idolized in the muslim world

The verdict is not about yours, or another muslims, or Moussaoui's perception. It's about justice for the victims. The victims and there families were denied that jusctice with the decision of this jury. Can't beleive I'm hearing this from another copper.
