Our blogging compatriot Rue St. Michel has an amazing article about a shootout in Seattle. The accompanying picture has to be seen to be believed. Surf over and read all about it.
I have family in Seattle. Those poor coppers take a beating from all the liberals who live there. Everything they do is under a microscope. I wouldn't be the police in Seattle for all the tea in China. But I'm glad to see this shooting was obviously a good one and a win for the good guys. The liberal media there is gonna hate it!
Speaking of shootings. Thought I heard something about a police officer being shot somewhere around Roosevelt and Pulaski. Anybody have anything on this?
news had the offficer hit by offender's car, 3800 w. roosevelt. Also mentions shootout with an offender at pulaski/roosevelt. no mention if they were connected, but not far apart timewise.
copper ran over and dragged by car for 1/4 block, got shots off and struck the offender. offender's car rolled to stop at roos/pulaski, bad guy looked dead at scene
You respond to a job of a battery in progress its 0145 hrs. Upon arrival you see 5 marked squad cars, 3 unmarked tac cars, a CFD ambulance and a tac supervisor along with a sector sgt. The victim is beaten w/minor injuries, the offenders fled prior to police arrival.
QUESTION
Who's not going to have to do this job ?
A - The first car on scene. They are getting off in 15 min and their boyfriends from TAC are going to meet them for COCK-TAILS.
B- The sector sgt will determine who’s going to do this job. When asked this question the supervisor will simply say “ your assigned, you do it”
C- The car originally assigned by OEMC unless you’re the car in answer (A) then your boyfriends boss gets to pick i.e.; tac supervisor.
At the Crime Lab, on the fifth floor annex of the OLD Chicago Police Headquarters, at 11th and State, there was a display cabinet. Along with a John Dillenger death mask and an ancient microscope was a rusty 1890’s vintage revolver mounted on a plaque. There was a newspaper story posted next to this relic of how a couple of C.P.D. cops engaged in a shootout with a bad guy. Lodged in the cylinder of the gun was a slug from one of the combatants. The bad guy lost, and I do not recall if the gun was the dead offender’s or the officer’s.
The point is, be careful out there. As one of my earliest mentors said, “Treat everyone with kindness, but have a plan to kill them.”
About twenty-five years ago, I visited friends in Seattle. Beautiful town then, still is despite of all the California refugees. I joined a bunch of Seattle cops for lunch at a dinner. One of them said, "I wouldn't be a Chicago cop for all the tea in China."
are you the same guys who cry on tv when you think the public doesn't love you anymore. well wakeup, they never did love you, the public dosen't like the police. you give them tickets, lock up their kids and generally make them nervous. hell, there are a lot of coppers i don't like. it's always the empty holster, sit in the offices police people who have the time to sit around and write poetry and sing praises to themselves. get away from your desks and get out on the street. you'll find it is interesting to say the least. your poetry might actually improve!

Steps of thunder
Cadence we hear
We march in May
Eyes with tears
We honor our fallen
Love in our heart
Memories forever
Families take heart
Whether troopers or sheriffs
Together we’re strong
To fight all that’s evil
And right all the wrongs
They all fought the battle
Bravely and true
Courage under fire
Angels in blue
So join us this morning
Marching in peace
Brothers and sisters
We’re Chicago Police
