Imagine that - everyone gets pulled over at equal rates - just not equal to their percentage of the population, which is where the liberals make their arguments.

Perhaps it has something to do with not having your driving license suspended. When a white fuck is driving around with no drivers license he gets cuffed up and his car is searched too. If he is with his ass hole white friends they get cuffed together too just like the ass hole black dick head. And the hispanic, and the indian, and every other ass hole out there who is driving around without a drivers license. Thats what the police do (some of them anyway.) They should do a study and see what percentage of each race has had their shit suspended.
Just remember that Barak Obama was a big push behind all of this TSSS nonsense when he was in the STate Senate.
We're stuck doing those damn tsss until 2010. Screw filling out a green/now blue card. You get pulled over expect a ticket. If I have to write, I might as well get a court date out of it.

basic statistics prove your logic wrong.
it doesn't make any sense that minority groups would be pulled over the same amount as majority groups unless there were outside reasons - one would be racial bias and the other would be that minorities are responsible for more traffic infractions than the majority group (which studies have continually shown to not be true). it would make sense that if a majority group makes up a greater percentage of the population, they would also make up a greater percentage of the traffic stops when these different groups have been found to be very similar in their rates of actual traffic infractions.
Minority activist groups will ALWAYS continue to twist/turn/spin stats/numbers til if finds SOMETHING to prove they are always being picked on!

YEAH OK THERE BUDDY......I have worked in every district in Area 5. NEVER once have I heard that! The only reason I can think of why a boss would tell you not to make out a card on every stop is so they are not signing/entering 200 contact cards a night.

For example, how is it that our seat beat “safety checks” are invariably conducted in locals most likely to result in stops of black or latino motorists? Coincidence? Maybe, but not likely.

Truth be told the department wants the stops, yet they want the numbers changed. They do the same thing with the case reports, Burg/ changed to criminal damage. Homicide changed to what ever. keep the numbers down Cline and Daley are smart cookies. You my friend are the goof.

The numbers are wrong some police officers don't do cards, most of your plain cloths officers don't do cards. You officer know this as I know this??? wink, Wink
From what i understand, the Northwestern study we are doing will be terminated in a matter of months.
Sveral years before our study, Cincinnati did one of these under court decree and collected millions of pieces of information. The information was placed in a box and never opened or analyzed, because everyone knew that it was statistically meaningless and invalid friom the start. They never wasted the money or time to analyze it.
The statistics we are compiling are meaningless. Look at the form we use. Where do you list an arab? As white, because there is no listing for middle easterners. An Iranian and a Kentucky redneck would be in the same category. An Eastern Indian and a Chinese descent would be listed the same, as well. A pacific Islander, would be listed, as what? The same as an Eastern Indian?
The margin of error is way beyond the +/-.05 of any meaningful statistical data.
And the of course you have to operate under the premise that the officers fill these things out in a self-reporting envioronment.
These things are about as truthful and valid as the check off sheets in 020 district.
The data is crap because the methodology and the reporting instrument is pure crap. garbage in, garbage out. It was designed that way from the beginning.
I'd like to play poker with those of you who believe this study has any chance of being meaningful and statistically valid.

Yes, that is exactly what I'm telling you fucklips! I did not enact this policy, but that is the reasoning behind it. Yes it is a way for contact cards and vehicle searches in areas where violent crime occurs. I am not saying that it is effective, but this is the reason it is usually done in a minority area.....thats where the violence happens. Use your head, ASS!

Iranians are not Arabs they are Persians--a caucasiod race. So yes, a Kentucky redneck and an Iranian could and should be catagorized as "white".
I worked in several districts on the South side and they were populated by the majority minority group. It was rare to see any other group in the District especially at night. You could not help but get one group most of the time unless you profiled looking for another group. You cannot get a valid study from a segregated city like Chicago because of too many variables.
there may also be more chicken bones on the floor of one group's cars. So what? What a waste of tax payers money.

Hey here's a great idea for us. Why don't we fill out the race of the offenders on TRR's and make the results public. ?

Here's a clue, if you don't want to end up in a traffic stop getting tickets and having your license taken away, then stop calling attention to yourself by doing stupid shit! My partner and I working midnights ran a temp plate which came back hot on a newer Ford suv sometime back. It was a male black driving with a female passenger. The car was registered to his wife (she was not the passenger) who knew he was cheating on her so she reported the car stolen when he failed to return home when he was supposed to. After charging him with crim trespass to vehicle (asa would not approve felony of course) he says to me "you all just can't stand to see a nigga have somthin nice". To which I replied, "I don't think a Ford expedition is anything nice, and it doesn't belong to you, it belongs to your wife." This is just on example of the backwards mentality we all deal with on this job. The funny thing about all of this is that most of the time when you do a traffic stop, you are behind the vehicle so you can't even see what sex/race/color the driver is until you've approached the car. How could you profile people if you don't know what they are before you've even pulled them over?

Simple one, the missions are touted as "traffic saftey" measures thereby clearly implying that they universally apply to all. In practice, however, this is hardly the case as these missions are little more than a means of pimping for revenue from those who can least afford it while at the same time searching for contraband amongst a captive audience--invariably minority.
Either the "safety missions" are about traffic safety or they are about weapons and contraband--but they cannot be both. The city may not promote the "traffic safety" program as one thing when it is in fact something else. Is any of this getting through simpleton? Hello?

Believe it or not, if you ride around without a seatbelt you can be pulled over and asked for a D/L and insurance. If you are then placed in custody for being an asshole with no license or insurance....and another crime is discovered, so be it! And guess what, a lot more people where their seat belts now, because they are aware of the missions. Therefore you are wrong, seatbelt missions can be about many things at the same time: safety,contraband and revenue. For the other "asshat" when those who "can least afford it" get in a crash without a seatbelt, who pays the bills for their uninsured ass????? Me, the taxpayer, thats who!
