Execute Them All

If a murder occurs during the commission of a felony, aren't all parties to the crime liable for the death? That's how we always had it explained to us:
  • Suspects in a South Side bank robbery have given conflicting statements as to who fired the bullet that took the life of a bank teller, according to charges.

Two of the three people charged in the fatal May 22 robbery told authorities different men among them were responsible for firing the fatal shot at teller Tramaine Gibson, court papers indicate.

This case is being prosecuted by the US Attorney, so we'd hope that they could bypass the Ryan/Blago moratorium on executions and send these pieces of garbage to the gurney in the next decade or so.

These pricks might have killed everyone in the bank had that guard not started firing. Forget the gurney--we should put them in a building unarmed and just terrorize them like they did their victims before we shoot them down like the dogs that they are. They should feel their victims' fear.

Even as a veteran homicide detective, I'm doing a double take on capital punishment.

Last year, my beloved cancer-stricken golden retriever was "put down" by a veterinarian's lethal injection.

Considering many of the convicted murderers worthy of a death sentence, I believe that life with no possibility of parole would be more appropriate than a lethal injection cocktail that passes muster under the Eighth Amendment.

Now if they bring back the electric chair, hanging, the guillotine and being drawn and quartered (my personal favorite), I'm all for the death penalty. I would also prefer that such executions occur at a public venue and be televised with pay-per-view cable. Now that's what I'm talking about.

Save euthanasia for terminally ill pets. It's the easy way out. Hands down, I'd prefer the needle rather than being solitarily confined in a windowless 8' X 12' cell for at least 23 hours a day.

Glad to see they are going to the federal prison. Our state has a broken system, and they'd be out in 12 years. Execute those bangers.

Another reason why we need more fire power. How long would it take for SWAT to get there? At least 20-30 min. right?

Only the actual shooter can be death penalty eligible in the bank robbery. All are guilty of murder on a theory of felony murder and a separate theory of accountability. But only trhe shooter can be executed. All 3 of these rats are from the notorious BD building at 6217 S Calumet which was recently razed.
